I have 2 other complaints:
1) Their limited time brisket is ridiculously expensive. It's $7.70 for a portion of meat, which if you see the size of that portion (basically a small plastic cup), it's obnoxious. The chicken is like half the price. The assistant manager of the local Chipotle always warns me, "Just wanted to let you know, the price of this is very expensive", because he's had so many complaints from others. I still get it because I like it, though it sets me back $30 because I get 4 portions. Before you laugh at 4 portions, understand that these aren't large, and I only get cheese and salsa to go on it.
2) The other good meat is limited time, as well. That's the Chicken Al Pastor, and it blows away the other chicken. Unlike the brisket, it's not expensive. But it's no longer available, and seems to only be there for about 25% of the year at most. Why? People seem to love it, and it's definitely better than the plain chicken. Because it's marketing. Give the people a taste and then take it way. They will crave it more than when it is available all of the time. Kind of like what McDonalds does with the McRib
I guess I have a third complaint.
I was in Montana in 2023 and everyone wanted Chipotle, so I stopped at one. Why would you go to a restaurant that you can go to at home, when you are on vacation? That reminds me of when I was in Buenos Aires one time and my neice and nephew wanted to eat lunch at McDonalds....SMH and The doors were oddly locked at 4pm, but the drive thru was open. Oooooookay. Not supposed to be that way, but I assumed maybe they were short on help and couldn't leave the place open, so I went in the drive thru. I got to the window and they told me they are "only doing Postmates and Uber Eats orders", and I could not order normally.

When I tried to ask them to explain further, the woman literally slammed the window in my face and went away.
I don't usually make corporate complaints (seriously, I don't), but in this case it was so weird that I felt it was justified. Also, I wondered if they really were breaking Chiptole rules. Indeed, they were. The Chipotle's posted hours were 9am-9pm. They were not supposed to close like this. Corporate told me that the store only had permission to close if they had an emergency making them unable to serve food, but "clearly that's not the case if they were still filling orders for Uber Eats and Postmates". I was also told that they had other complaints about this location closing at bizarre times. They promised to call me back, and said I would get some kind of gift card in the mail, probably $25, for the situation. I said okay, thanks, and provided my address.
Nobody called me back, and no gift card came. I called back a few weeks later, and they had no record of my previous complaint. I hung up and dropped the matter, as it wasn't worth redoing. But very poorly handled.
