Early discussion of WSOP 2024

The 2024 WSOP will take place from May 28-July 17, 2024.

The schedule is likely to be similar to that of 2023, so plan accordingly. I am guessing the full schedule will be dropped in the coming few weeks.

Already confirmed is the fact that the WSOP Main will start on July 3, and have 4 starting flights (the others on July 4-6), just like last year. The winner will be crowned on July 17.

The only confirmed other events (though no dates given) were Millionaire Maker, Mystery Millions, and Seniors. However, it is likely that most other events from 2023 will be back in 2024.

Expect the Mystery Millions near the beginning of the series, the Seniors somewhere around June 21, and all expected big-field NL holdem events (especially with buyins $1000 or below) to take place on weekends.

It is also likely that the $1500 O8 and $1500 stud will be near the beginning of the series, as they usually are.

The rest can be somewhat hard to predict, date-wise, as occasionally the WSOP shuffles them around.


Staying at the Horseshoe, a great value in 2022-23, will unfortunately be more expensive this year. This is because they converted one of the two Horseshoe towers to being part of the more expensive Paris (and renovated the rooms), so that takes out about 50% of the cheap Horseshoe rooms which were available last year. Sad!

I suggest you book early, even before you know the exact schedule, and then modify your reservation accordingly. If the prices go down, you can always cancel and rebook with no penalty, or just call 1-800-CAESARS and get them to re-rate it for you.
