Druff, I chuckled when you and Vintage One expressed concern about the accuracy of the remote temperature sensing devices/systems that are being used in businesses and medical facilities for screening out people who have abnormally high body temps...

I’ve been a fan of some sciency YouTubers who use infrared imaging in their vids, and am a mere click or two away from getting a lower-end infrared camera (less than a grand) that is accurate to within 0.1 degree F, which is also the accuracy of the typical FDA-approved handheld no-touch temperature sensor.

The issue with it until relatively recently has only be the cost. But that has come way down within the last decade. Which is why there are FDA-approved handheld no-touch units now cost only a few hundo. And there are other devices/systems that aren’t too expensivr that work from greater than arm’s length, with some married with AI software that detects and zero in on faces AND can scan multiple people simultaneously.
