So I am OBSESSED with this show. I had never watched it until I went to Boston. I had a long bus ride to and from so I snapped off HBO GO on the bus and began watching.
IT IS AWESOME> New season is coming in September.
I just have a question and I'd like to discuss as well:
How much of this show is based on truth? Is Enoche Thompson a real person? How about Jimmy D?

I didn't see it coming, but all my friends did somehow. I knew when the kid had his dog tags and Richard wasn't there to protect him.
They must have something good planned to off someone so big to the show.
You guys already mentioned them, but I'd like to see more of both Richard and the Irish Kid. Both are hidden bad ass'.

Thanks, guys. Currently about halfway through season two but got sidetracked by Game of Thrones
I like Boardwalk Empire but I think it's a notch below Mad Men, The Wire, Breaking Bad and The Sopranos. Everything aout Boardwalk is good but I feel it lacks originality.

love the show and can't wait for the next season. I found the 4 Michael's (Pitt, Shannon, Stahlberg, Kenneth Williams) to be the most compelling actors/characters on the show (playing Jimmy, Van Alden, Rothstein, and Chalky).
I'd love to see a show or movie on Rothstein's life. Such an interesting, weird dude.

yeah he rigged it. you have never seen 8 men out(joe jackson got screwed but i digress) movie all about the sox throwing the series....back to topic nucky is god, jimmy got what he deserved..chalky is a pimp in every sense of the word

Just started season two, despite the spoiler I had to endure.
I think it's really good but lacks...something. I like every character except for Nelson and Chalky. Maybe Chalky gets better but I can't yet separate Michael K. Williams from Omar. The Chalky character seems like Omar in a play.

Omar might be one of the best characters ever played IMO. I can see why it would be hard to separate him from that role. Chalky is a great character though, keep watching and he will work his way into your good graces. Just gotta forget about Omar.Quote:
