Sounds like we know his door was busted down for a fact, but no one really knows by what agency or for what exactly. It seems way more plausible to me that once Micon's computers were seized - former owners saw writing on the wall and got the fuck out ASAP. That would support that SwC wasn't really a big money maker since the owners were willing to cut bait so quickly.
I believe Micon was likely facing either a bill (taxes) that he wasn't prepared to pay, jail time or both. But either way, this had very little to do with SwC or online poker considering the site wasn't actually seized like FT, UB, PS, MyRedBook ... ect have been.
Also doesn't make sense Nevada Gaming would go it alone just because Micon lived in NV. He was presumably taking bets across all 50 states and beyond. While I'm not an expert on police protocol, once you involve cross-border shit, that makes this a federal issue - and certainly the FBI, DOJ ... ect would be involved.

If you are wealthy now why aren't you retiring and never working again vs. trying to start up your poker site so you can make money?
Why would you take your white wife and daughter to an island that is populated with 91% beast negroes?
I have been to many islands in the caribbean (not as far south as Antigua) and those are not the types of people I would ever want to spend significant time around.
As far as island sickness goes I guess it depends on the kind of person you are. I live in a bay and spend about 335 days a year within a 12 mile radius and I have no problem doing so.

This idiot had a ton of people telling him that doing this was illegal and dangerous and yet he plowed forward regardless. He completely deserves what he got and no one should have any pity for him.
The fact he moved to Antigua and vows to defy the US government isnt because of deep rooted idealistic views. It is because he is lazy, put all his eggs in one basket, and has no other way to get income.
I imagine another reason he left (and possibly the main reason) was because of taxes. Does anyone really believe his books were in order? He probably knows once gaming dives into his books he will be fucked and be charged with a number of crimes.
I'd bet heavily this entire thing stems from the fact that Micon pissed off the wrong person with connections at the NGC, or put himself on the radar doing dumb shit like flying drones and taunting security.
Has nothing to do with the IRS or DOJ, this was low hanging fruit for the NGC to pick off, justifying their budget and existence in the process.

Micon had his time and surprisingly networks let SWC have a full monopoly of bitcoin poker for a while but that time is over as other sites are going to it. WPN already has it going as far as sites serving Americans and others will soon.
Pokerstars is even going to offer there customers bitcoin deposit and withdrawls soon.

I think I now understand now. We're witnessing either a degen or brilliant "all-in" from Micon here.
Most of his chips were in the middle thinking no one would call his perhaps not well thought out bluff. When they did, many believed folding was the right play (sitting on his hands and for an indictment). But this is Micon and he knew that move was the worst play possible: an amateur mistake that noone surely would recover from. Right, he tells himself, "I might only be 30/70 with my overcard and a gutshot, but if I win, I'll be in position to take this fucker down."
He's probably right, but I still hope his butthole is immune to being results oriented.
