"Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness." - Alejandro Jodorowsky
"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
Opinion: Tulsi Gabbard may not be a Russian asset. But she sure talks like one

This article is about exactly that BS - "The Demonization of Dissent".
In short, people like Tulsi who are criticize the MIC status quo and are against a new cold war / nuclear arms race w/ Russia and China are demonized as traitors to their country, whereas in truth they are the exact opposite.
Tulsi's decision not to run for re-election clearly signals her other intentions for some other office; wonder who she's made a deal with?
btw if youre on the fence about bellingcat, hit taibbi up on twitter or something and ask his opinion of them. their name rings out in the street.

Sec of defense would cause cognitive dissonance to the industrial war complex.
Tulsi is running to be Bernie's VP. That has been obvious for awhile, if you've been watching. Castro is doing the same for Warren.
Today's new CNN / New Hampshire poll:
Going back on Nov 9 to continue volunteering.
Sanders is going to take New Hampshire because of its proximity and similarity to Vermont. He crushed Hillary by 22 points in 2016, despite not coming all that close to beating her in the primary.
(There's a narrative going around among the far-left and right that Bernie got "cheated out of the Democratic nomination". That's not true. He would have lost big time anyway, even if not for the cheating. He was indeed cheated, but the cheating ended up moot.)
Anyway, as I said before, it is my belief that early primaries don't mean what they used to, because we are inundated with so much information and so many polls prior to casting our first votes. In the past, the early primaries were seen as taking the pulse of the nation. Today, we already have measured our pulse many times over.
This is especially true for Democratic primaries, as their delegates are awarded proportionately, so you can technically win the first 3 states and barely be ahead of the person in second place.
If Biden loses the first 3 states, I might fire some more $ on him, because the odds will presumably get much longer, and I can take advantage of it.
Anyway, bottom line is that I don't give a shit about New Hampshire, and you shouldn't either.
I don’t understand your animosity towards Warren. As someone who makes a better living when the financial markets are in turmoil (something you have insinuated in the past), you should rooting for Warren to win the Dem nomination and then the presidency assuming that Wall Streeters are correct snd the financial markets will suffer a bloodbath if she gets her wealth tax proposal enacted into law.
In point of fact, NH is a bedroom community for Massachusetts. Those two are most similar.
The bulk of the population is at the Mass border living the tax free life and racking up the miles as they commute an hour or more to Boston and environs. Otherwise they serve the Mass residents looking to avoid sales tax.
Lotta little liberal colleges and kids who have found affordable housing, as well. Sanders is their binky.
Mass political radio just loves bashing Warren. I don’t listen too often but it’s a thing.

a bit hysterical but it aint exactly wrong.

this author's conclusion from tulsi's op-ed is puzzling. tulsi didn't give the slightest hint that she would run as a third-party candidate. she simply stated that her foreign policy approach is different from all other candidates.
have you figured out why you fear russia so much?
the cold war, the great purge, gays murdered in the streets, journalists executed in front of putin's office window, it's not even really a country at this point but a gang of semi patriated crime lords who got rich enough to avoid going to the wall after the communism fell, etc.
