So I probably have missed bits and pieces of this thread, so don't mind this if its a :moonlanding but its new to me. Apparently in his freshman year of college, Ted Cruz got into a poker game on campus in the dorms. He also, apparently, was a giant fish....racking up an $1800 debt that he couldn't pay. Now here's where the story varies....I haven't found a whole lot about it documented online, but here's one article with the official response from his spokesperson from 3 years ago:

Listening to a podcast now with Jon Favreau (not the director, the Obama speechwriter) and he mentions the poker game story....but with a different ending. Word on the street is that once Ted actually ran up his debt, he then went and snitched on the game to the RA's and got the game busted instead of paying his debts. The Trump rally in Chicago was hit with professional protesters from MoveOn.org and Black Lives Matter.
They were inciting violence not Trump or his supporters.

MoveOn.org has promised to disrupt every Trump rally from now on.

This is not a peaceful protest.
They are infringing on Donald Trump's right of free speech.

Probably already said in this thread, but all these dumbass protesters are doing is fueling the fire even more against the Black Lives Matter movement, which in turn will make Trump even more attractive to a lot of undecided white voters... It's part of the reason, maybe even the main reason why so many people have gravitated towards him. People are so sick of the far left political correctness and BLM movement that has been dominating the news for years now, and obv Trump is the only guy constantly touching on that nerve. Throw in the Islamic terrorist issues along with illegal immigration and you have the perfect recipe for what pisses off the average American white voter.

IMO both parties are to blame for his success, and it's not going to change anytime soon. The left for what I'm saying above and the right for basically allowing their party to become a divided mess.

I used to think there was no shot at him winning the presidential election, now I'm 50/50. If he gets the nomination I am willing to bet there will be more of a white voter turnout than ever before, which could actually "trump" the minority turn out that would usually swing the vote towards the left.

If he does end up winning this country will be so divided some form of race war, especially in cities like Chicago, will be inevitable IMO.

There are "Protesters", and then there are scumbag anarchist assholes, like the ones in this video. These people probably dont even know who is running for President. BLM, hipster troublemakers and anarchists. I hope their eyes burn for weeks.



I had dinner with my CPD brother tonight. Shocker here....lots of shady shit coming out today about the protests at UIC. Those CPD officers were SERIOUSLY understaffed for that protest, and requests for more were denied. Head of CPS was on the news stating that "We never told Trump to cancel" and that "we were fully staffed and could handle things". Yeah, right....not even close on the amount. Who knows if Trump was told or not, as both sides will spin shit so they dont get sued and just deny everything.

They were also not wearing better gear that they should have been wearing. They didnt have their harder hats (used to prevent getting hit on the head with rocks, bottles, etc) Its being speculated that someone very high up told them to intentionally be understaffed and let shit go down. There were several cars fucked up, and one was totally shot up. There were fights all over the place, well into 10pm (that place was supposed to be cleared out a lot earlier than that). Hardly any arrests, and one of the Sargents on the scene was apparently ready to bust heads and wanted to just say Fuck it, arrest as many as you can, but was told to stand down. There were PAID protesters in that crowd, put there to start serious problems, not just say anti-trump crap.
