4BET: Not true S.S, You know I called out Jasep first
Im sorry but I went ham on him back when he was doing weird banner exchanges with Micon and I warned him that by all appearances, Jasep was looking to steal his website/radio show audience and somehow monetize the traffic because everything he was doing seemed to smack of shady social engineering. And approximately everyone involved told me it was a 'bad read'.
If you can find a link to you saying fuckall about Jasep before that, Id love to see it.

Yeah I was just like "Does no one else see that this guys ingratiating himself here to put together a competitive brand? Because everything he does seems designed to eventually shard off his own empire once he gets his bona fides.."
Obvo this was before he decided to evolve beyond his original media push and go for the jugular, I think he decided that was a viable option once he realized he had the means to cash in on Drexel's reputation among his social circle.

Was actually pretty surprising Drex allowed jasep to pop his cherry so easily. by that point quite a few didn't feel right about juan but drex and china def gave him some much needed credibility.
I just want to add my thoughts here.
First, to John,
You are a piece of shit. You have hurt a lot of people. You deserve no forgiveness. You've had plenty of opportunity to correct this injustice, and you let it slide for 2 1/2 years. Only when you stuck your head out of your gopher hole, you never expected anyone to notice, and here we are today. You used me, my wife, and my daughter for your own benefit. My family has worked very hard for many years to help people with the 22q11.2 deletion, and you took advantage of that. You made it look like you were helping. You even got a $500 ad for your radio show in their conference book, distributed to doctors, professionals, and families all over the world, because you made it look like you were helping. You ruined your co-hosts, who provided many people with entertaining banter and information over the years. You took a piece of them, and ruined something they loved so much.
You yourself have a daughter. Do you know what it's like to hold your daughter down to give her a shot.....every night? Do you know what its like to have to send your child into the hands of a doctor for multiple surgeries? Do you know what its like to drive for hours to see a specialist for your daughter, only to leave with more questions than you came in with? You have NO FUCKING IDEA! You couldn't even begin to grasp the heartbreak you get every night! You have no fucking clue! Yet, you manipulated that father, that mother, and that child to make a few bucks from a community that thought they were helping. You got to talk to a World Series winning pitcher, because he's a dad with a 22q daughter, and he has seen even worse with his daughter than I've seen with mine. You used those opportunities to make a few bucks, ruining your co-hosts, and myself in the process. You've damaged my relationship with a foundation that has people who can help my daughter, because you are a soulless piece of shit. You scammed a community once, and you thought you could come back for more. I was a part of that too. I used to watch those videos, telling my wife how "we" did that night. How "we" were up, or "we" were down because we had a bad run that night. You went back to the well, and came away with more. What's worse is that you did get away with it, and now you want to make it better. $250 a week isn't going to cut it. The people that smoked you out of your gopher hole should give you everything they feel you deserve! Maybe your life needs to be ruined a little. Maybe you need a little heartbreak.
As for the foundation,
The board president and treasurer resigned just before the story broke. They left because they didn't see eye to eye with other board members, and they felt it was best they left. Any board of volunteers that has half of their executive board leave would be in a very difficult position following those resignations. At the time, I was not privy to discuss those things. They were advised legally to walk away from this. As to why, I don't know. But Brandon can certainly attest to the fact that my wife and I did everything in our power to involve them, because we wanted to see this piece of shit put away for this. I even got to talk to Belly Buster on the phone helping gather facts for this. The foundation is still working to build themselves back up. For anyone that isn't familiar with non-profit boards, they are usually run by volunteers. Those volunteers give as much as they can because they feel passionately about the cause they are volunteering for. Most of those boards have a select few "doers", people who volunteer as much time as possible to allow the organization to run. The two people that left were "doers". Today, there are about 3 doers on a board of 10-12 people at this foundation, and they all have 1 thing in common, they have children with 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. They volunteer whatever time they can, when they are not tending to their sick children. They are good people, and despite their recent struggles, have worked hard to keep things going. They are not "shady" or "scammers" as many have suggested in the multiple threads on this situation, but they certainly are limited with their time and resources because of their situations.
As for the money,
I firmly believe that the people who were robbed in the BAP should be made whole first. I'm part of that bunch for about $50-$60 myself. Todd, if you ever see my money, you can put half in a freeroll, and the other half you can donate to a charity I will list.
The money donated to the foundation is a different story.
I understand people saying that 22q doesn't deserve the money, and personally, I agree. I wish they did more to help, but they didn't. Many people say they don't need to collect the money because Mason covered it. This is the same Mason that is ridiculed here for the way he handles 2+2. The same Mason that has banned many people that belong to this site. Some people have found it convenient to lean on the person they despise the most in the poker world. If you want to make someone whole, send him the money. He was the ONLY person that stepped up to cover what happened to the International 22q11.2 Foundation. Yes, I said only. He was the ONLY person that donated any money in light of the scam. There were reports that someone else had made a sizable donation in light of the scam, but that person withdrew their $3500 donation days after making it. That is fact confirmed by the treasurer of the foundation. I have the dates both the donation and withdrawal were made.
As I said, I understand and agree that the money should not be sent to The International 22q11.2 Foundation. But that money was donated to help people with 22q. If we ever see that money (and I doubt we will), I'd prefer it go to a group that helps people with 22q. That is what it was donated for. People can make their own decisions as to where the money should go. 22q11.2 syndrome is the 2nd most common genetic syndrome in the world. There is more than 1 organization that helps people with this syndrome. You can donate to the following:
Dempster Family Foundation
http://dempsterfamilyfoundation.org/
This is Ryan Dempster's foundation, and they have been doing a lot of work helping families with information on the disease, including webinars and support groups around the country. They are also working hard on raising awareness with their bus tour.
The Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome Educational Foundation
http://vcfsef.org/
This is a smaller organization helping with awareness and education. They also do some advocacy work, as many kids have enormous difficulty getting the school help they need (mine included).
Both are worthy foundations and deserving of the funds. They will go to great use in their organizations. Todd, feel free to pick one, and send my other half of the money from the BAP there (if you ever get the money).
If you want me to come on radio and answer any questions, I'd be happy to.
Joe
This is a good point. Most people here don't even care about the money. They wrote it off as a loss a long time ago. Maybe the best thing to do is give Jasep a taste of his own medicine. He seems to think very highly of his job, and is very proud of what he's accomplished. The people involved with raising money for the charity were very proud of what they did too.....but then Jasep fucked it all up. Why not fuck up something he cares about?
I'm not sure what you mean by allowing Jasep to pop my cherry. I assume you are referring to me hosting a podcast with him.
I like you Pooh. You make me laugh a lot, although I would never let you anywhere near my father. I am surprised by your post only in the sense that I believe you know the answer.
After the falling out with The Bitcoin minister of Antigua, I was off the radio and forums for a while. Jasep approached me with a concept that I thought I would enjoy. Doing a podcast (as well as having a forum, although I knew that would never take off and I didn't care much about it) that was different than anything I had done before. I was burnt out of the usual poker talk. Poker news, results, poker gossip, fraud etc. Druff does this show very very well and no disrespect to him, I was just tired and didn't care anymore about the poker industry.
Our podcast was about gambling in general, the las vegas lifestyle, girls, talking with my other co-hosts about our lives, making fun of each other etc. I enjoyed that and actually miss the concept. I miss working with Kevin very much. We had amazing banter together. If I ever did another podcast full time and could find hosts with the right chemistry, that would be the platform I would choose to use.
Jasep fooled me. But he fooled me in a way anyone you barely know from the internet can. He had long time friends that were in the poker industry. He was open to me about personal problems in the past. I didn't see any warning signs.
I've realized after 10+ years on these forums that you really cant truly trust anyone. I could do a podcast and start a small business endeavor with srslysirius (obv an example) and things could go sour. Even after meeting him twice, having a meal with him, reading his posts, exchanging pm's etc, do I really know 100% I could trust him and there would never be a situation or something in his personality that would make our partnership end bad or make me feel stupid for trusting him? No.
I took a chance and it was a huge mistake on my part. If I had found Kevin and we had started a podcast together, we would probably still be doing it and Jasep never would have risen to the level of notoriety and leached off my reputation, as he did.
I feel guilty for providing Jasep credibilty that he used to perform his cons on others. That's why I mostly stayed away for so long
I hope this makes sense to you Pooh and to others.
Also, to settle the debate, yes Sonatine was leery of Jasep from the start. Way way way back on Donkdown, when Juan came out of nowhere and tried to be the most popular kid in school almost instantly.
Looking back, it was like watching 21 jump street back in the 80's. Johnny Depp would be enrolled in some highschool mid year to try to bust some marijuana ring and within 2 days he was he most popular kid in the school. All the girls wanted to fuck him, the cool kids wanted to party with him and they all acted like they had known him for years.

Jasep, we haven't heard from you today. Are you too busy to follow up with us?
Here are my requests:
1) Pay at least $200 on every 13th and 27th of the month
2) Sign and notarize a document stating the following:
- Due to acts of deception you committed in 2012 and 2013, you owe the PokerFraudAlert community approximately $12,200 plus interest
- You have agreed and committed to make payments of at least $200 toward that amount on the 13th and 27th of every month without fail, until it is paid off
- You will provide these payments via Paypal, cash, or money order to Todd Witteles, who will hold the money to be properly distributed to the community at a later point in time
- If you can afford more than $200 twice per month, you will send that additional money to Todd Witteles in order to pay it off faster. This means you will not use your income to gamble, take vacations, purchase gifts, or purchase non-essential items. Any disposable income will be sent to Todd Witteles in order to get everyone paid off in a more rapid fashion
If you need help drafting this document, I will be happy to write it for you.
