It is vaguely illegal to process payments. That is why the other sites got in trouble. They guy that had processed payments for them got arrested and told everything to the DOJ to save his skin. FTP/PS/AP got very lazy with their payment process, handed it all over to this clown, and when he was arrested that led to Black Friday.isnt it illegal to serve US players, thats why all the other sites had to quit?
As far as the existing US facing sites, their future is day to day.

I have it on good authority that Hero's departure will be similar to RPM's. I do not have the full details, but it would be extremely prudent to convert or use as many of your VIP points and MTT tickets as you can now based on what happened with RPM. I assume this to be imminent...

What is going on with this? I followed HeroPokerCEO Dave Jung's instructions, opened an account at sportsbook.com and e-mailed merge. So far, no word from merge (except acknowledging receipt of my e-mail) and sportsbook.com's and merge's online help desks are unresponsive. :-(
I was on Hero signed up on the link from that Donk site and kept my only merge gaming account through Hero Poker. After I signed up on Hero the Merge network decided they couldnt accept new players from my state which didnt matter to me seeing as it only applied to new accounts. Now though it is a problem ...I assumed I could get grandfathered in on carbon seeing as I signed up onto the merge network before their decision to ban new accounts from my state. I messaged David Jung thru 2P2 and he said I would be grandfathered in and could continue to play thru Carbon and I could get my funds transferred like every other account on Hero. Carbon though has denied me and said Adios and to wait for cashout information in E-mail. I as a player simply want to play , I didnt think I needed to sign up on every skin from day one to access the same network.
i don't know if Hero pulled the plug or it was Merge Poker...whatever, today the roll I had on Hero was transfered to one of the remaining Merge skins i can play it or cash out now...(btw, i had to request the transfer)
the cash is there yet i am out about $25 in tourney coupons and $12 worth of VIP points...nevertheless considering i play for recreation and all my bankroll was built on freerolls, my complaining will be based on general principal rather than something worthwhile

I followed link from hero to carbon and got this response from carbon today after I emailed them about changing
