NYTimes dialect quiz

neat thing to do. 25 Q's referring to how you pronounce certain words and what you call certain things. At the end it will show you a heat map of the areas of USA you are most similar to, and pick out the top 3 big cities you "match" with. This has worked exactly right for a few people I know, I moved around a lot as a kid and it still came relatively close on the heat map, but it labeled Florida as my strongest match, specifically Ft. lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, and Jacksonville. I have never lived in Florida so that was strange.

It nailed me right inbetween Aurora, IL, Rockford IL and Grand Rapids MI. Im pretty much smack dab in the middle of those 3 cities geographically.

Ha, my least similar was very spread out, but Providence was one. Chattanooga and Houston were the other two.
