    The OFFICIAL UFC 167 Thread

Their is some sick value imo on Johnny Hendricks this weekend (+220) and people keep on firing on GSP making it even better.

I like Hendricks to end the reign of GSP with his combination of power, speed, and wrestling. Hendricks is the most dangerous fighter GSP has seen and I doubt GSP will be able to control this fight like he has over all the other guys using his defense to get offense strategy which is boring yet effective (until now?).

GSP straight with Hendricks in round 1.

    Dunham -120

Evans if it comes down a little.

JMM stole my thunder. GSP by decision and a hedge on Hendricks rd 1.

    Thats some gospel.

Obviously if it goes the distance then GSP is heavily favored as Hendricks will likely have gas'ed himself after a few rounds anyways but I see him going for it.

I'm waiting to see what the Hendricks by KO pays.

Will be a good match but we hear this almost every time. This guy has what it takes to beat gsp and is the best fighter yet.

True but GSP always has the perfect game plan and discipline to not Silva himself into a loss.

gap by decision ftw. No hedge

Hendricks has a punchers chance & that's all.

Hendricks was life & death to beat Josh Koscheck, & a lot of people think he lost, & everyone thinks this is GSP's toughest test? Really??

Of course we'll see for sure on Saturday & I'm looking forward to it.

Can't imagine there being much value on Hendricks. He is fighting most dominant champion ever in history of ufc. UFC primetime couldn't make their camps anywhere near comparable. Having to rely solely on punching power for weight classes below 205 just doesn't work out that well...

I personally hate Koscheck, but I do think he is a good fighter. This made me lol when I saw it during a Google search.

I think there may be some value in Robbie Lawler too if you get a good price. Mcdonald is coming off that horrible fight with Ellenburger that Dana blasted him for playing it safe in. If he tries to stand with Lawler and make it "exciting" to make he boss happy there is a good chance he gets clipped and finished.

You're kidding with this statement, right? MacDonald will just pick him apart & if Lawler gets aggressive like Ellenberger didn't, it might be an exciting fight with a finish either way but most likely for MacDonald. Lawler will not win a decision.

MacDonald or GSP are not in the business of exciting fights & don't give a fuck what Dana White thinks.

I've said since this fight was announced Hendricks would win this fight. Is he a better all around fighter then GSP? No but he has the perfect style for GSP. The only way GSP can win this fight is a 5 round decision, and Hendricks has bricks in his hands, and lets not forget GSP got knocked out by a little dwarf thats best known for his jits.

If GSP outwrestles Hendricks I will be blown away, and we know GSP cant knock him out. I guess he could pull off a sub from his back, but his best bet is to outpoint JH and not get caught and not get ground and pounded.

For me theres to many ifs when hes the favorite. Theres extremely great value on JH on paper.

I already think GSP is the greatest MMA fighter of all time, but if he wins this fight it shouldnt even be debateable anymore. No one has won more fights in the UFC and he avenged both his loses which 1 was when he was no where near the fighter he is now, and one was kinda flukey.

I dont love Sonnen because I think he throws fights, but I just think Rashad has enough trouble getting up for big fights and now hes fighting a friend.

FYI, for those who want to watch a fun fight with absolutely no greater meaning, Rampage v Joey Beltran goes off tonight. Catchweight shit, just over the LHW limit. Rampage 210, Joey 208.5.

Just read an article and the last line:
Reminds me of Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman — and we all know what happened there
LOL @ anyone comparing this fight to Silva/Weidman.

Does Hendricks have a chance? Yes he could knock out GSP in the first 2 rounds.

But he sure as shit isn't going to knock him out from his back where he will be at least 3 of the rounds

GSP is safe because he has earned his spot and is a ppv draw. The pretty boy isn't shit outside of Canada so don't think for a second that Dana won't throw him on the Facebook prelims if he pitter patters against Lawler. The only upside is that if he pulls a Kalib Starnes and runs for three rounds he can fight Ben Askren in WSOF in a few months.

There's no way in hell Dana is throwing out the #3 contender in welterweight when he is 24 yrs old with talks of GSP retiring soonish...

    GSP - 32
    Hendricks - 30
    Condit - 29

    Macdonald - 24
