my eye is on the nova games at Xavier and at seton hall...if all teams are at full strength and you can get points for Xavier and seton hall I think those are really good spots...if nova can manage to win one of those games I will be truly impressed...
There’s certain teams I have very little interest in and Villanova is one of those teams for some reason. The last time I can remember having interest goes all the way back to Tim Thomas or Kerry Kittles playing there. I still remember them winning the NC in 85 and did like the old school matchups with Georgetown. Syracuse is another team I wont watch along with this current run of Uconn squads. I’ll watch Seton Hall, Providence, Georgetown, LaSalle, Temple, Princeton etc so it’s not because I dislike east coast basketball. To be honest I think it’s because I don’t like Jay Wright and his fancy suits haha. I’m sure I’ll watch the Xavier game and will tune in a bit to the temple game tonight. I’m definitely going to watch the Wisconsin/w Kentucky game because I’m trying to figure out this badgers team. Couple of key injuries to the badgers which hurt them against Marquette and they have lost 4 of 5 I think. I love Ethan Haap and I’m waiting to see if he’s going to carry this team. last game before finals for them and if the line drops below 7 I’m taking them for sure or I might just buy the hook if it’s at 7
yeah I hear ya...gotta go where the money and value are in the betting markets...

I suffered through the lappas era so jay coming in has been fucking tremendous, but I can see how the tailored suits and shit could rub people the wrong way...he's a helluva developer of players tho...he gets the occasional lowrys and brunsons and foyes who are destined to play a long time in the NBA, but he also gets guys like dante Cunningham, molds them for 4 years and gets them 10+ NBA careers...hes doing that with Mikal bridges this year...kid was a fringe top 100 recruit who is now headed for the lottery...

sad that the BE broke up for fucking football...that was top tier CBB...knock out drag out fights in every game...

will be interested to hear your thoughts as we get into conference play...should be an interesting year...

I did say I was going to take them if it dropped to 7 and it’s actually dropped to 6 from an opening of 7.5. I went back and watched the 2nd half of game vs Marquette along with the pressers.. There comes a time in every young team where it hits a tipping point and Wisconsin is right at it. they have a soft 3 game stretch coming up after finals before big ten play gets under way. Can Ethan haap put this team on his back?? If WKU doubles him on the block will he do a better job rotating the ball back out to the open man? With Trice and King out for the badgers which of the guys steps up to fill that void. Wisconsin needs Haap and Iverson to play big and Davison is capable PG but he’s playing with a shoulder injury. Defensively they can’t afford to give up 14 of 22 3s like Marquette hit but I’m going to bank on it that they get the job done tonight in Madison. They just need some confidence out of the gate tonight and if they drop this game it could actually put their season on the brink

    NBA:

    Denver +6.5

Might have more shortly regarding the later games.

Jokic is in, Irving is in, Horford is out, Milsap is out

The Jokic thing was just announced. It is not clear how many minutes Jokic and Irving will get.

FYI Boston is mostly choosing this as a "rest game", avoiding the fine for needlessly sitting players during high profile games. So keep that in mind.

Also keep in mind that Denver is back to back on the road, though obviously Jokic did not play yesterday.

Well, now I feel like Daly.

Just minutes later, the 6.5 is a #staleline because it immediately fell to 6 and then 5.5 for Denver.

Weird movement. Started at 8, slipped down to 6, and I still liked it. Then it was announced Jokic would play, and it actually went back to 6.5. Then it fell to 5.5.

I guess it's possible the movement to 6.5 was unrelated to the Jokic announcement, as it happened minutes later, but still kinda weird.

just say no drurff. the team that kills your last bet never does the same when you take them. Hope I'm wrong.

Hey college ppl can I just take Temple first half but nova for the game? Is that a thing? It seems like if I could go back and bet every single Duke Blue Devils basketball game from like 1993-2003 when I really watched basketball I'd be a gazillionaire.

In NBA I think OKC will decide to show up on ESPN.
Wizards will cover because everybody but gasol liked the old coach but gasol buddies with owner.
And Utah to cover on the road by that many points because that looks like the ugliest bet to take at first glance.

Utah is getting a lot of public action, though the line movement seems like a bit of an overreaction given that the public action isn't quite that extreme, so you might be right about them.

OKC is an enigma. They are very hard to predict, regarding showing up versus not showing up.

Oh, and I didn't take the team which killed me last night. I did not bet anything involving Denver yesterday. I was just frustrated that I stayed away from that game, because I wanted Denver & the under, but avoided it.

I've actually been looking at the Utah game and it's tempting to take the Jazz, but Hood is probably on a minutes restriction in his return, and the whole thing might spell fail as Leonard's return did for the Spurs last night.

On the other hand, I do think Chicago is getting too much credit for their LOL 3-game winning streak (after going 3-20 to start the season), and that might be affecting the line. That, and the fact that the Jazz have struggled over the past 3 games, perhaps finally missing Hood.

Just kind of a tough one to figure out.

I obv haven't been paying enough attention to the NBA this year if Utah road favorites is a public choice. I don't have any insight for ya thats for sure.

Edit: And there you explain it they started the season 3-20. I didn't know it was anything that horrible.

temple should be fucking embarrassed about this performance at home..

nova is a great team, but jesus Christ have some fucking heart to want to win the city and beat the hell outta the elite program...

EDIT: doing a san and putting a little more on at +17.5 and just got more at +14.5 for a total of a half...

Not the best 1H for Denver, down 68-59.

Memphis seemingly goes under like every game nowadays. Hmm.

Utah so far looking pretty bad against the Bulls, so glad I avoided that one.

    Wowowow

Got some luck today to make up for the screw job yesterday.

Remember how I got that fleeting +6.5 line right after Jokic was announced in, and then it fell to 5.5?

Well, Jokic didn't play after all, and Kyrie played the whole freaking game and did well, so that was a disaster.

Denver was down 8-12 most of the game, but was never getting blown out.

In the final 2 minutes they ran up some points, then got within 4, and intentionally fouled. Boston made both free throws, making the lead 6. Denver then bricked a 3-pointer with 7 seconds, and thankfully chose not to foul.

Final score 124-118 Boston, and I win by 0.5, whereas just about everyone else who bet in the entire early/late afternoon like I did ended up tying or losing.

Apologies to anyone who tailed at 5.5.

Really bad call on my part tonight...Wisconsin had every chance to put this game away early in the first and midway through the second. Poor FT shooting and giving up 2 double digit runs in both halves. Going 6 mins w/o a FG in the first...Thought we were getting OT there but a savvy play by Davison to draw a charge on the inbounds play. Back at it tomorrow maybe

    NBA today:

    Dallas +10

    Might post some more later.

The Warriors will be without Curry, Pachulia, Green, and Young. Mavs will be without Smith, but that's one patchwork Warriors team at the moment.
