This actually happened just 12 days before I visited the park, which is weird because there are almost never murders there.

Anyway, she married a dude, had second thoughts, and then pushed him off a cliff during an argument -- presumably the one where she was telling him she was going to back out of the marriage.

I am guessing it wasn't premeditated, but more likely that he called her all kinds of names when she broke the news to him, and the flipped out and shoved him off the cliff in a fit of rage. Then she panicked and made up all kinds of terrible cover stories.

Yet another reason not to get married before age 30.



On a side note, I think I know where he was pushed, and we stopped in that spot to take a look at the first really nice views of the drive. Good thing Benjamin's mom didn't have the same idea as this girl!

This girl was incredibly cold and apparently lacks emotion and empathy. When she led people to her husband's body, claiming that she 'just had a feeling' it was there, she told a friend, "Now that we found him we can call the detective and he can get out of my busines."

Bottom line is that it's never good to marry someone who just isn't all that into you. This dude deluded himself into believing this girl had the same feelings for him, and he ended up paying for it with his life. While most situations like this don't end in murder, they almost always end in divorce.
