I've played poker with him a few times in Seoul. He runs the poker room there and usually when we were on the border of starting a new table he'd sit with us and play so the table could open.

Guy is extremely nice. He's a really really tight poker player though. He's really good, has a bracelet even, he's caught me off guard with hands way outside the range he's typically in, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was playing about 1 hand per 2 hours in this thing. I'm glad he at least cashed.
Everyone at the Bellagio 40-80/80-160/100-200 hates Kevin Song with a passion.

He always talks up a storm at the table and takes forever to play his hands, which really bugs limit players, as the game typically moves quickly at high limits.

I don't really mind him, but it seems all the regulars there despise him.

I've only played nl with him, but he was pretty quick with most actions. Was talkative, but it wasn't like in your face, more like hey buddy how's it going.

edit: obv it's going to be different playing for serious business money, but in a laid back atmosphere he was pretty chill.

Actually, I don't wish that, because I couldn't bring myself to be a biased dickhead during the ESPN commentating, but at the same time, part of me would want to be.

    I seen that too.

Paul has played some events in the past few years but I don't believe he's ever cashed.

Cashing in that event is prestigious for someone like him who probably rarely plays but enjoys a pure gamble game.

    fucking PLO of all things...

i would think that he'd have a better shot of cashing in a NLHE event...if you don't play a lot i cant imagine PLO is something you just jump right into easily...i know i have trouble my first few sessions if i take some time off from it...

Only 943 entrants today for Day 1a of the WSOP ME so people likely taking a few days off along with hundreds that were still in the Little One Drop, $1500 NL, and $10k PLO.

I havent seen either Hac or Di Dang's name mentioned in quite a while. Are those two still playing poker?

The Dang brothers opened a Cajun Restaurant in Northern VA, Washington DC after the Black Friday crisis. There was some discussion of them retiring from poker.

They seem to be doing pretty good post Urindanger's live trip to Macau (2 years ago?) where he lost a million plus to the fish. He said the 24hr+ plane ride home was very very long.

    Trex this year:

I was going to say I know Dang bros have been popping up online occasionally from what I've read. They also did a few video for Phil Galfond's training site runitonce I read somewhere.

It must be nice to play 100k worth of hands and make like $1.75 milly. You can do that in a month with some hard grinding or in a few months with less grindage.

Crazy ass hand that happened on Day 1A:

LOL at UTG player snap calling with 4 others all in with the 43s. If you really want to take a risk it's actually not that bad for a quintuple up but I just snap off too as in fold.

He has odds to call with that hand against opponents range. As it turned out his equity was 20% and was third best hand. Not a great hand but as long as opponent does not have adkd he is looking alright. I'd still fold here though.

He does have the odds but this high variance line isn't a great idea here in early in a $10k MTT but I guess if your a shit player you might want to take a big risk to reward early but tournaments aren't won in the first few levels.

If this was an online $50 tournament I like it much better since you lose just jump into another one.
