also lol @ Jean Robert being in the one drop.

He just tweeted a couple days ago about being totally broke no money and going to trade in his car. Then last night he wins 20k and buys 20% of himself, and finds backer(s) for the rest.

I really hope he pulls through one of these big tourneys and scores > 1-2 mill.

It's like watching a train wreck like Micon but at 10-20x the stakes

As pros bust they will jump in whatever they can reg for. The One Drop so far has 147 entrants which most are top pros but their still are hundreds of other solid pros out there who won't play in this because of the huge buyin.

Mercier is deep in the $3k right now and his bracelet bets are worth a lot to him otherwise he obviously would be in the One Drop and their probably are some others that would too. I'm not sure when late registration ends for this it could be later tonight but they will get some more late people strolling on in.

The $1500 buyin tournaments are donk and luckfests anyways but I wonder how many will enter that $2500 10 game as a lot of those really good players who play all these games are in the One Drop.

It's unfortunate to say this but Guy really should consider renaming this charity so it's not mistaken with the new Jasep fundraising event called the Juan Drop.

Not sure if it's a good or bad thing for me that some of the One Drop players would have been in tonight's $2500 LHE 6-max.

I'm glad to see guys like Greg Mueller out of the field, but I would actually welcome a lot of those deep-rolled/TV-pro NL players in an event like this. For example, Joseph Cheong played the $5k Limit and was pretty much dead money, despite being a great NL tourney player.

Overall probably won't make much difference, since most good LHE players are grinder types like me, and wouldn't enter something like the One Drop.

Haralabos hasn't seen a dime from Lindgren's latest scores which from what Erick said Haralabob would be the last to get paid if he ever does.

Brokeliving JRB doing quite well in the One drop, so far.

question: If anyone is going to the wsop.com site and looking at the hand updates, is it just my computer, or is the Ace of Diamonds not showing up on anyone else's screen? It just leaves a blank space on the screen for me wherever they apparently post it on the page.

Well he still gets 20 % so it is like playing a 20k event so nothing really changes. He just sold off 80 % or so. I feel whomever put up 80k made a really bad investment but he has somewhat of a chance as does anyone in a field this small

At the 1:30 mark, they are sitting next to each other, that must be awkward.

    Not trolling here at all,
I don't really get why you think it is funny that he only got 20 %.
Like Micon, he is a hell of a salesman, and if he somehow wins,
he gets 100 % of the glory in the 2nd highest buy-in in WSOP history, (I'm assuming it is).
He'd milk the F out of that.

Fair enough if he can pull it out... Still sad that he only has 20%, seems way over his head. Not disagreeing that he's a hell of a saleseman.

PS.. I didn't see Helmuth's name in the field. Any ideas on that?

That seems to be his gimmick, in a way. He's always in over his head without any bankroll.

Of course, when you are mostly playing on other people's money (pretty sure JRB has backup living money, could be wrong though), how much over your head could he really be?

    ‏@Ray_Henson 3h
@golferjosh @phil_hellmuth he told me yesterday that he was 100% not playing, said he wasn't "feeling it". I didn't believe him #badread

@golferjosh Guy would've put him in a heartbeat, makes me sad, I would've done it if I knew! I need these double point events to catch up!

    @DanFleyshman 3h
@Ray_Henson @golferjosh Yeah I heard the exact same thing that Ray did a couple hours ago from reporter that Phil said he wasn't feeling it.

i still don't understand why the hell guy is not playing.

antonio and doc were talking about it at the table and antonio sent guy a text. after a while he said guy just wanted to play cash games.

you'd figure the guy who set it up and put it all together would play or at least be there.
