You should feel happy that many people are out that who don't want you to lose your ass. Nobody can ever predict the top or bottom. If Brexit happens you will make a ton. If not, well maybe back to 400 we go.

Are you planning to sell now? Or try to ride the bounce?

And, of course, you don't have to sell all of your bitcoin now. Right now it is up about 25-30% from when you got them. You could rebalance by selling 30% and still have about $10,000 exposure. It just depends how much of your overall portfolio you want exposed to bitcoin.

*This* surge being partly due to Brexit seems reasonable. But the bubble that just occurred doesn't seem related to Brexit because the polling/betting lines didn't swing that wildly during that period.

I sold 10 of my 22 BTC about a week ago for $682 each.

So anyone who was laughing at me for letting it fall to 549 last week can suck it.

Anyway, I'm still interested in the BTC value given that I have 12 left.

The "halvening", as it's called, is interesting, but some in the BTC community are theorizing that it will have little impact either way.

Others are theorizing that this will make the BTC value shoot up. One analyst thinks it will be back near $700 by this weekend, and at $1000 by July 28. I think that's optimistic.

Even others think it might cause a crash in value.

Right now it's slightly down, but mainly holding steady.

We shall see.

Fairly good estimate off the BT supply at any given time all the way to 2040 has existed since 2009. Only things that introduce variance to that estimate are sudden changes in mining before the system has time to adjust and people losing coins. It really is fairly easy to forecast.
