The world watched in horror as coordinate attacks in Paris Friday night killed over 130 people and 352 injured in the deadly attacks that rocked the city of Paris on Friday.

Over 20 attackers have so far been part of the terrorist cell that planned the deadly Paris attacks, with seven suicide bombers dead, seven attackers under arrest and a total of six people on the run.

The attacks were carried out by Islamic State (ISIS), who later claimed responsibility for targeting innocent people at 'soft' locations that lack police or military protection, including Bataclan concert venue where at least 89 people lost their lives.
Following the bloody terror attacks, the hacktivist collective Anonymous declared war on the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) saying, "We will launch the biggest operation ever against you."

    But the Question here is:

From Where did the terrorist cell that planned the brutal terrorist attacks in Paris get Fundings?

The Anti-terrorism group of ethical hackers, Ghost Security Group (GSG), said that ISIS regularly uses cryptocurrencies to fund its terrorist operations.

The anonymous member of GSG has uncovered several Bitcoin addresses that they said, might be used by ISIS. One of the accounts they analyzed was found to contain $3 Million in US dollars worth of Bitcoins.

"The Islamic State does use cryptocurrencies as a form of income to fund their ongoing operations, and we have managed to uncover several Bitcoin addresses used by them," a member of Ghost Security Group said in an interview with NewsBTC.

"We had discovered a BtC address linked to a known Islamic State deep website approximately three months ago and provided it to dw.com. They hired a team of blockchain analysts to trace the cryptocurrency to the estimated 3 million in BtC the discovered."

Although there are no actual proofs that cryptocurrencies were used to support the terrorist attacks in Paris, GSG claimed it had uncovered several Bitcoin funding sites utilized by the ISIS on the dark web and successfully shut them down to limit the funding extremists receive through the use of cryptocurrencies.

    Yeah, I saw this too.

In the US, the Bitcoin game clock is approaching the 2 minute warning and it has no time outs.

Have you ever thought that the CIA also uses BitCoin to fund cooperation from in-country assets?

    Don't matter.

Ed Hochuli is on the field and New York is talking into his ear piece. Any touch down will be called back.

Seriously, the conversation about ISIS and Bitcoin hasn't started in earnest & will hurt.

Waiting for this line to get more traction. Sonatine sees the gold here too.

GhostSec, a hacktivist off-shoot of Anonymous, has claimed to have followed a chain of transactions and found a Bitcoin wallet containing $3 million which they say is linked to the self-proclaimed Islamic State terror group and Friday’s Paris attacks.

It had previously been reported by Deutsche Welle that the extremist group has been experimenting with currency such as gold and Bitcoin to stay off the radar. One wallet, believed to be in possession of IS affiliates, had received $23 million in Bitcoin in September.
Gave a quick look today at GBTC otc as a vehicle for shorting. Not great. Just trolling around for ideas if the game gets good. Feels +EV play but long time horizon.

I think people are believing the $300+ level is the new normal, but I believe reality will set in soon enough.
Have you considered trying to profit from this bearish prediction by shorting forward contracts? This company apparently goes out as far as 4 weeks.

I have used Bitfinix & BTC-e. One is kinda expensive and the other is gambling against the Russian "house". This was about a year ago - when we called the top. You missed a great show.

    Lol, cryptofacilities "transparency".

I gotta admit, to my eye, there are only a few trustworthy patterns that occur with BTC lately. I thought that flag was a pretty good spot. But you can find that shit all day long on Nasdaq and trade with leverage and not get scammed.

One big plus trading Bitcoin is you don't get fucked with short term gains tax.

One last thought, my Bitcoin loving friend.

Kleiner Perkins Makes First Bitcoin-Related Deal With Align Commerce
    http://blogs.wsj.com/venturecapital/...lign-commerce/

KCPB of AOL, Google etc, etc fame.

Nobody can get this fucking story right. They are investing in the blockchain architecture to move governemnt issued currencies. Not shitcoin.

For a little fun contrast the WSJ story to the stories being run by the Bitcoin fan/shill media. Google a couple. They all lead you to believe KPCB is investing/backing Bitcoin. Absolutely, not the case.

Opportunity for shorting lies in this misunderstanding. I pray for the day someone goes live with this. There are other blockchain players - a lot actually.

Other than truly wanting to be anonymous and not valuing the micro-small transaction cost of blockchain - the value of Bitcoin goes to zero.

Now you can find a way to short and sit waiting.... or you can have a theory (and have a plan to short and wait for confirmation using the price chart. This is how made niggas trade.

ISIS & Blockchain. This Senate subcommittee will now come to order.

Of course shorting Western Union and all that is the better play.

The blockchain again. Going to skewered by its own sword.

One threat to bitcoin is that banks could render it superfluous by co-opting the blockchain, its main innovation. That’s the encrypted database, distributed among users’ computers, enabling transactions to be recorded without the help of a central authority. If big companies set up distributed databases to transfer dollars or euros quickly and cheaply enough, there’d be no need for digital currencies. “Blockchain is like any other technology,” JPMorgan Chase Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon said in November at the Fortune Global Forum. “If it is cheaper, effective, works, and secure, then we are going to use it.”
Article mentioned MMM. The best part of the story was OKCoin (China exchange) execs freely claiming in real time that the run up was fueled by this Ponzi. OKCoin doesn't always charge fees and takes short positions against clients. Bitcoin is nothing but a new casino game.

OKCoin had to have killed shorting Bitcoin.

Its pretty amazing when a company shorts something based on their knowledge that their company is whats going to cause the price deprecation.

Guarantee if price moon'd they would get "hacked" and shutter the doors.

There was always the accusation that OKCoin had "black outs" or some other IT bullshit you guys use when the market was jammin' one way or another.

I definitely experienced it with BTC-e.

What's going on with the Winklevii? They have been dicking around forever with COIN. Squandered their settlement already?

You know that the day they go live it'll all be over - always a little bit behind the curve. Shoulda asked Zuckerberg if he could help them set up.

Light regulation or outright ban? $312

On Friday, interior and justice ministers in the European Union (EU) will hold a "crisis meeting" and ask the European Commission—the EU's executive body—to "strengthen controls of non-banking payment methods such as electronic/anonymous payments and virtual currencies and transfers of gold, precious metals, by pre-paid cards," according to documents obtained by Reuters.

You'd love to short Bitcoin related businesses too - but wait, there are none. Lol.

    Reuters - 1 hour ago

The European Union will increase controls on pre-paid cards, money remittances and bitcoin in a bid to curb terrorism funding after the attacks in Paris that killed 129 people.

EU interior and justice ministers agreed on Friday in Brussels to tighten checks on payment methods that may be conducted anonymously and might be used by terrorist organizations to finance attacks.

Ministers urged the European Commission, the EU Executive, to "strengthen controls of non-banking payment methods such as electronic/anonymous payments, money remittances, cash-carriers, virtual currencies, transfers of gold or precious metals and pre-paid cards in line with the risk they present", they said in a joint statement at the end of the meeting.

They asked the Commission to present proposals on how to step up checks on these payment methods.
Bitcoin is inherently anonymous - so there is only one option available. The nuclear option.

Dunno how quickly the EU would act but emotions are running pretty high right now. Start the clock.

Coinbase came out with a Visa debit card tied to Bitcoin wallet. If you think about this you could hurt yourself - or start laughing. This is not a joke.

Quiet before the storm? Every Monday we see China blow up the spot and fuck with BTC prices to the tune of about 15%. Today tho? Literally the flattest line Ive seen ages. So either 320 is the new 280 or something dramatic is about to happen.

Yup, another pennant / flag pattern. Converging into narrower, narrower range. Until.....

Just need the EU to cough.

What you simpletons aren't taking into account is the fact that you're being fucked over by frontrunners and HFT manipulators. There is seemingly no oversight, and to be sure, someone is doing the exploiting and it's not you.
