    Kinda New to ebay

I've just recently signed up for ebay & is this shit ever addictive. I've bought 8 things so far but my favorites are:
    Name: Dirty Harry.jpg
Views: 258
Size: 26.3 KB that I got for $40 &
    Name: Spaghetti Westerns.jpg
Views: 205
Size: 20.0 KB that I got for $20

I had these box sets on VHS tapes & have been looking for these on DVD for that last while & I'm looking forward to watching these when they arrive.

Anyway, I've noticed that on some items there is a real bidding war at the end & was wondering if anybody has some good tips to help in the bidding. It just seems like some of these winning bids seem odd & am wondering if there is a way to put an auto bid for a set amount the last few seconds of the auction.

Anyways, here's an example of the bidding. This auction ended at 20:09:40 & don't understand how the winning bidder bid 3 seconds before the second place bidder. It was the only time during the auction either of those 2 bid so I don't understand how j***y's bid even shows up unless it's because of lag.

    o***n( 94) C $190.37 16-Mar-13 20:09:32 EDT
    j***j( 447) C $187.87 16-Mar-13 20:09:35 EDT
    n***y( 63) C $171.00 16-Mar-13 20:09:23 EDT
    l***f( 10) C $170.00 16-Mar-13 20:09:08 EDT
    k***1( 13) C $166.00 16-Mar-13 19:58:35 EDT

    TIA

The reason for this is that o***n bid earlier but for a higher amount. j***j bid later but for a lower amount. You can bid any price not just the minimum increment. Make sense?

In answer to your question, NO, But I've finally waken up from the 80's & am starting to embrace technology. I even bought one of those new-fangled Blu-ray players the other day & I hope to one day trade in my Sony walkman for an MP3 player.

Thanks for your answer. That website makes sense after seeing some of the bidding on ebay.
