As far as I know, there isn't a single black person on PFA. Did you know that African Americans make up about 13% of the population in the United States? It's true. They have a rich culture and history, which we celebrate every February as Black History Month.

I understand that some of our members, such as Barry, don't know any black people. But I have a real life black friend. His name is Marvin. I told him that some people on this website seem confused and have strange ideas about African American culture. He said that he would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Yes. And the chicken stereotype.

Poor blacks in the south had to eat whatever was inexpensive - watermelon was easy to grow & chicken is a lot cheaper than beef or pork. (It is a little easier to raise chickens than other animals.) The habit of eating chitlins (pig intestines) came out of these conditions as well, and eating fried foods overall. You don't need an oven to bake - just a stove top for frying. What is not talked about is that poor white southerners ate/eat the same way - that is where modern eating habits for many African Americans came from. Obv ppl just love stereotypes - Another example of the lazy brain.

On a serious note. Do southern blacks also use the phrase, " damn, the hawk is out today?" when encountering an extremely cold, biting, windy day. Where you live, I'm not sure if he'd know what the fuck that means. It's something I have picked up through the years from being around a lot of black guys, and any northern black would immediately know what it meant. I dropped it on a black guy visiting from Florida once when he was up in Pittsburgh and we were coming out of a club, and he looked at me like I was using a pejorative term directed at him, and then I realized he was from Florida and might not know what the fuck I meant. Is that a phrase your friend is familiar with? because white people don't really use it in my experience. Wasn't like I said "I'm getting chalky." We start chalky.

Plenty of white people smell like shit as well. If you are referring to the distinction between odors across cultures, it may be due to hair products. Many African Americans use oil products in their hair which have a certain scent when they become rancid. To be clear, anyone who has poor hygiene (does not bathe regularly) is going to smell unpleasant, and this characteristic is typical of people who do not have access to daily bathing - usually because of poverty issues. It is not relegated to people of color. Spend some time in poor white neighborhoods and you will understand.

I am multi racial. Jewish is a ethnicity as well as a religion.

Chalky skin occurs across all skin tones, but it is more apparent on darker skin.
