A couple of tips that may seem insultingly obvious but...
1) Assuming you can afford, make a huge list of healthy foods, hit the store and load up. Lots of people regress to their old eating habits because they'll buy something healthy, eat it and then go back to whatever's around when they get hungry. Make sure to target getting healthy snacks for between meals; many people inadvertently load up on calories just by snacking.
2) Supplement your gym visits with long, daily walks. Walking seems geriatric but a good, long walk is nice exercise.
3) Cut out most/all beverages with calories, including diet soda. Diet soda was the only remaining leak in my diet/fitness until recently. I've cut that shit out and feel no different but know that it's the right move long term.
