Maybe a new forum/site layout is in order?

Now that FullContactPoker switched their forum appearance I think we should pickup that nice forum layout by invision power board they had.

Hell invision power board probably has even sicker layouts these days...Id be willing to pitch in a couple hundred for a change like this if it even costs that much...And don't even get me started on the site's appearance other than the forum it'self lol.

I think the forum itself looks fine, and it's actually a lot easier to see and use than most forums I have visited.

Admittedly, the rest of the site is light on graphics and appearance-related stuff, but is that really needed at this point?

Sites like Craigslist, eBay, and Drudge Report are simple and ugly, yet all of them are very successful.

I agree. Colors also make it hard to read.

The most important thing about a site is that it's easy to read and use.

As weird as it sounds I would be contributing everyday on the forums if it looked like that and the reason I don't is because the way it looks.

Content alone will make it successful sure, but that's no reason not to make it cosmetically appealing as well...Tydepoker looked better and i'm not even joking lol...w/e tho

If you ever see a feature that other forums have that you think would be cool here, definitely suggest it in the the bugs & suggestions forum. Druff's added a bunch of small features over the 10 months +. You can embed still pics, video, audio, and pdf docs, the spoiler tags work, the facebook-style chat is pretty bad-ass...

I don't think I've ever belonged to a forum that has been as functionally complete (for lack of a better phrase) as this one. As long as the layout doesn't screw any of that shit up, and is easily readable, why fuck with it?

as far as the board ryland linked to, I'd be fine with that too, I guess, but I don't particularly think anything about it is better. No way is that style an upgrade.
