I heard Haralabob say in a podcast with Bill Simmons that the early portion of last year was a great time to hammer the unders as the lockout was resolved quicker than expected and players came back out of shape, thus leading to lower point totals. Apparently it took Vegas a long time to adjust.

NBA is my favorite sport and I follow the lines but never bet them. I've never been able to get a good beat on the o/u and there's just so much variance game to game imo.
