Dan Bilzerian was arrested at LAX late Tuesday night and is being held without bail because of a fugitive warrant out of Nevada.
Bilzerian was picked up at around 10:30 PM, presumably after his flight home from Miami. As of Wednesday morning, he is still in custody.
This warrant has nothing to do with the incident in Miami over the weekend when the millionaire playboy -- often called Instagram's Most Interesting Man -- allegedly kicked a woman in the face.

This may be his wake up call to shut it all down. The attention whoring he is doing is all fun and games (and profitable for him) but now he is becoming a target. This combined with kicking a chick in the face (doesnt really matter the circumstances) it probably isnt workth it anymore. If I were him, I would get through these charges, and if possible, and get out of the country to some place warm for a year or two.
How does he not get bail on this especially in Nevada? I get it is a serious charge but you would think no bail would be reserved for someone that was making explosives with intent to do something harmful.

How could he be a flight risk? He is a huge celebrity and probably has most of his assets in the USA. He would stick out anywhere he went. He also has no criminal record, and I am 100 percent sure there was no evidence of intent to do something malicious with it other than blow something up to post on Instagram.

Well, the entire point of bail is to make you give up (or make someone give up) an amount of cash, bonds, or property to the court to ensure that Bilz will appear in court when ordered to do so. If Bilz is a zillionaire, then the whole point of the bail amount is moot, since he won't give a fuck about the amount. He could easily take off and go anywhere in the world, including plenty of places that have no extradition deals with the US.

You say he's not a flight risk, but the court just took the 100% opposite view. They likely know something you don't.
There are certain charges that are going to draw an automatic no bail, no matter what the circumstances. Anything having to do with bombs is one of them, especially in 2014.
He will get a bail review where he can plead his case as to why he should get a bail, and they will probably give him one. The first time around the judge just looks at the charges, he can't say shit and whatever the DA wants they will usually get. I am SURE they have a hard on trying to bust him on something, so they were just being dicks with the no bail recommendation.
He will obv have the top lawyers known to man and I would be shocked if he is denied bail on the review. He has a clean record too.
He'll get bail probably, but if they still think he's a risk, they'll take his passport and probably make him wear a GPS dealie 24/7.

That makes sense, thanks. Just curious what is the typical time it takes to get a review for bail? Is it days , weeks? Does it depend on how good your attorney is?
