I'm real curious who he beat for $10.8 million and if Dan was to lose that much what kind of place would he be at in life? Expensive homes and toys = expensive costs to maintain them which a lot of people who over spend don't realize this and then get themselves in deep shit financially.

If he wants to be known as one of the greatest poker players in the world and legit, he should actually play in some confirmable matches with real high stakes pros. Haven't seen any of that.
I dont even think he believes he is anywhere close to that caliber. I think he does this for the rush with the chance to more or less luck box a win against someone that is better than him. As you get more and more rich, it is hard to obtain a new rush without risking more and more. So now that he won 10 million (if it is true) will he simply retire from poker and other forms of gambling? Of course not. He will chase the rush again.
At least he seems to be smart enough not to get his rush from the pits like Ivey does. With poker, at least he has a chance.
