    Porn Industry dead on LA??

Los Angeles County voters chose safety Tuesday night when they approved a requirement that all porn actors wear condoms -- a move that adult film workers complain will put a massive dent into a booming industry.

With 100 percent of the county's precincts reporting, "Safer Sex in the Adult Film Industry Act'' -- or Measure B -- passed 56 percent to 44 percent.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which sponsored the initiative, said the measure will help safeguard public health as well as porn workers' health.

"This is a major referendum on the subject of safer sex," AIDS Healthcare Foundation President Michael Weinstein reportedly said in a statement.

Opponents, largely members of the porn film industry, which is based in Los Angeles, claim the business polices itself and no one has contracted HIV on a film set in the United States since 2004.

The industry says performers are already required to undergo monthly HIV tests.

Film producers also say the measure could prompt the $1 billion industry to leave Los Angeles, taking thousands of jobs with it.

"Safe sex practices are a good idea. However, they shouldn't be forced on adult film actors,'' according to a ballot argument against the measure. "Our individual rights have been fading fast since the Patriot Act. Do-gooders such as New York Mayor Bloomberg seek to create a nanny state where our behavior is increasingly regulated for our own good.''

"So will the producers just stop making these films? No. They will likely move to areas where they have the freedom to make the kinds of films they want to make,'' according to the ballot argument.

Just more nanny state laws, but that is what you get living in the great liberal state of CA.

This will destroy the porn industry in CA, because I like many others have zero interest in watching porn with condoms. Matter of fact I can't think of ONE time in my illustrious porn viewing career, where I have even seen a condom on someone much less watched it.

They are going to have to go elsewhere or just break the law in CA, either way it isn't good for the state. Wonder how they plan on enforcing this, that should be interesting.

I just can't get into manufactured porn anymore. I have about 7 or 8 videos in my rotation, none of which are 110 lbs hot paid blond women in high heels.

It's not all of California, it's only LA County. Porn industry is already threatening law suit since this is not a state law and they feel state law trumps county law on issues like this. I doubt this law sticks.

Cracks me up though thinking about how this law would be enforced. Will their be a condom inspector on each set? Will there be someone that has to watch each seen of every porn made in LA to make sure condoms are worn? LOL... What a joke.

Well, my best guess is the agency responsible for keeping track will probably just watch the various porn scenes as they come out, and levy hefty fines for any porn companies who do not get with the program.

They are a bunch of philthy dirty fucking whores.

Over 60% of pornstars have herpes.
About 30% of pornstars have tested positive for gonorrhea or chlamydia or both. (even though they do constant STD testing)

Wicked Pictures is the only porn studio left that requires their actors to use condoms.

The porn studios will go underground and do quick shoots to Las Vegas and other locations.

LOL at this shit. I'm not going to quote the whole article which can be read at the link above but this is what it's about:

Draft of California bill would mandate porn stars wear protective eyewear like goggles during filming

First it was mandatory condoms. Now lawmakers want to make porn stars don more gear to keep them safe from infection from bodily fluids. If an updated draft of Bill AB 640 goes into effect eye protection would be required during filming sex scenes, according to the proposed legislation.

Actually everyone is moving to Las Vegas. 40 min flight from Burbank, tons of places to shoot at , and no one blinks an eye if some half-nude chick is walking through the hotel lobby.

She is a train wreck now. Apparently she is getting back into porn. I wouldn't even want to see it for nostalgia sake.

I am guessing she was making a lot of money running her own websites for awhile but probably spending everything she earned. Then the tube sites came along and overnight wiped out her subscription base.

So what's the new biz model for porn personalities. Is it like music?

    Concert appearances & merch?

This is pretty much what is left. The companies that shoot anymore are, ironically, the same companies that own the tube sites and give the content away for free. For example the owner of pornhub.com is Manwin(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manwin) who also owns digital playground and number of other subscription based sites. They use the tube sites to push other sites they own.

Manwin and all the tube sites are universally hated within the industry as much of the time they use stolen content to fill the tubes and then use ads to sell their own subscription based sites.

The process for getting stolen videos removed can be a pain in the ass and take a lot of time. The tube sites know this so by the time they legally have to take the stolen content down it has already served its purpose and has been replaced by a new piece of stolen content.

It is a genius/scumbag business model. They basically wiped out 90 percent of the industry overnight by doing this.
