Post on X (formerly Twitter) by David Paredes alleges dealers at Encore Boston Harbor in Massachusetts were stealing chips from pots in cash games there.
Here is the key information Paredes posted:
Recently we learned f that dealers @EncoreResortBH were stealing $ out of the pot (palming chips —>up the sleeves, etc). They’re claiming it was “just” BBJ promotion $ but I highly doubt that.
More details are developing and I’m sure they’ll be a bunch of denials by staff but a number of dealers have been let go, and others are suspected. And apparently this has been going on for months.
This is especially troubling because in the bigger PLO game (10/10/25 or 25/25/50) this could mean $500 or even $1k chips going bye bye. The pots are very big it wouldn’t take a lot for this to happen. Sad that the casino security doesn’t watch poker carefully but there is no real reason for them to do so.
