No idea how the Clippers have any fans with the Lakers in town.

They had a racist, cheap jew owner who runs the team like one of his slums for decades while the Lakers become the biggest team in the league.

Then jew Sterling gets ousted and the team ships Shae-Gilgeous Alexander + their entire future of draft capital and more to sign two weirdos who are rarely healthy and then choose when to play. Shae is now better than both and it isn't close.

Now you ship all the future assets you've acquired to get a guy who has literally quit on three teams and somehow still was able to steer himself to his destination of choice.

They will get smoked by the Nuggets, Lakers, Suns at minimum.
Chris Broussard's thoughts - come to PFA!

    (LOL at the host's face)

Might not have been a great idea to hire a rookie coach because Giannis likes him. Defense is AIDS, giving up 130 to what was the leagues worst offense in the first week, but their offense is more alarming. Watching them, idk what they’re even trying to do.

And Portland with a nice win. I looked and they were down like 20 early, then saw they won.

With the Celtics putting up 155, and Bucks getting blown out, I feel like Bill Simmons is firing up the studio right about now.

Mavericks scored 30 STRAIGHT POINTS in the 4th quarter.

    And lost.

They were down 24 in the 4th, went up 6, and were up 120-116 with 2:18 remaining, but gave up the next 10 points and lost by 6.

With 11 minutes left, Oklahoma City was up a seemingly insurmounatble 111-87. Over the next 6 minutes and 42 seconds, the Mavs went on a 30-0 run, taking a 117-111 lead with 4:18 to go.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...n-loss-thunder

It is the biggest run of straight points in over 25 years, and the first time a team with such a streak lost the game.

Big nothingburger for me. I suppose the bonus $$$ is decent enough motivation for the players, but otherwise I see no reason for the average fan to care.

That said, if they put actual playoff implications into it....say the winner of the tourney gets guaranteed #1 seed in their conference....then that'll be entertaining.

It's made for fun games tbh.

Pretty aggravating when you pay money only to see two teams mail it in.

Probably only watching about 10% of my normal NBA consumption this year, not missing it.

Draymont Green is a straight up thug should be kicked out after last altercation where he full on slugged opposing player with a closed fist. Way worse then Ron Artest

From the "a great fiction writer can't make this up" files, the Knicks, who have an active lawsuit against Toronto, have traded Barrett and Quickley for OG.

Man, I think I’m more pissed about losing Quickley than Barrett if I’m a Knicks fan. OG is a weird player. Seemed unhappy in Toronto and might have another gear now.

Honestly, the Knicks are offensively challenged already were already good on defense.

The Cavs have insisted they aren’t trading Mitchell this year, but this trade makes way more sense if you think about adding Mitchell’s offense to that lineup. Solidly the team with a defensive specialist who can guard the perimeter and then trade, or wait out Mitchell. Adding OG to a team that struggles to score already doesn’t make a lot of sense in todays game. You aren’t going to win 90-87.

There has to be another move coming.

    Start watching the Thunder btw.

One of the more entertaining regular season teams in years, and SGA is god.

Pulling for him but should have forced his way out of Portland two years ago, past his prime now.

Siakam to Pacers for Bowen, Jordan Nwora, and 3 firsts.

Kind of like trade for both teams. Siakam should operate well with all that spacing, and two of the picks are for 24, so you know you arenÂ’t trading some lotto pick. Both picks should fall around 20 in a really bad draft.

Raps needed some draft capital considering they didnÂ’t get any out of FVV and OG. WonÂ’t be fun to overpay Siakam, but thatÂ’s always a mid market problem and Haliburton is playing at such a high level, I understand it from Pacers view.

The OG-RJ trade, at this point, has looked decent for both teams. This feels again like a pretty fair deal for both sides.

A month ago or so was reading a Pacers piece. Mentioned how Bruce Brown could have went back to the Nugs on the MLE (i think) but instead took the bigger bag from the Pacers. At the time of the piece, it seemed like he made out both ways. Now he's off to play for a rebuilding team in another country...at least for now. He could easily get flipped again.

A lot of capital to maybe get out of the first round but they're a shit market who lucked into getting Haliburton.

Indianapolis is the worst 'big' city in the country.

You know who isn't looking too good?

Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic. He had a heart attack yesterday and died today, at age 46.

The Warriors/Jazz game has been postponed as a result.

Thats another one of those stories that always seems absurd to me. Like Daryl Kile 20+ years ago. You would think when surrounded by the best of the best of doctors, that there might have been some knowledge?

Granted, Milojevic spent his playing career/most of coaching career in Serbia-ish; Kile was right in the prime of the steroid era. But still.

In Kile's case, there was definitely some medical malpractice. His father died of a heart attack in his 40s. This should have been known by team doctors, who should have been extra vigilant in testing Kile for any potential heart issues. Often heart-related deaths prior to 50 are due to a genetic issue.

Kile was not said to have any symptoms before the night when he died in his hotel room, but it was thought that they probably could have caught his hardened arteries had they been looking out for it.

    VAIDS obv.

Warriors decade of run good appears to be done.

Wise to not extend Klay, tough beats with Draymond and Wiggins.

Bricking multiple lottery picks as well; recoverable in a huge market, less so when you're, say, Portland and appear to have bricked at #2.
