Mike Postle just accidentally doxed himself on his own website that he claims to not own.

The current owner of Rounder Life (well, the owner who isn't Mike Postle) follows me on Twitter and apparently sometimes listens to PFA Radio.

I might be able to get him to come on the show. In fact, I think I'll send him a message tonight and ask.

  3. #303
Be sure to ask him about this

    I'm sure it's all just a misunderstanding

    Cliffs of Haley's article:

    - Mike Postle used the e-mail address roundermagpro@gmail.com when filing the response, and then changed it to a Yahoo address for the article, in order to cover up his association with Rounder Magazine (aka Rounder Life)

    - Sacramento area attorney Owen Hughes is very likely the author of this response, for various reasons: (1) Because an earlier version of the document had reference to "Mr. Hughes"; (2) Because there's an association between Postle's former attorney William Portanova and Owen Hughes; (3) Because some of the language used in Postle's motion is basically word-for-word copypasta from previous filings by Hughes in other cases.

Here's an ongoing case where Hughes is the defendant, and Portanova is his attorney: https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/...erica_v_Hughes

Almost right. The boilerplate was taken from Portanova's filing in defense of Hughes. Hughes didn't even create that part of it.

Any chance these shenanigans will play a roll in the actual case?

I don't think Owen Hughes is an attorney, definitely not California-licensed.

Per the government's Complaint against Hughes, "Hughes was the sole proprietor of Eon Research Corporation, a for-profit research entity located in Davis, California, and operating in the biotechnology field."

Portanova is definitely an attorney and definitely Hughes' attorney.

Why do I get the sense that Postle’s phone number will change really soon?

Evert Caldwell, owner of RounderLife, released an idiotic article in response to Haley's piece:

    https://www.rounderlife.com/haley-hintze-misreported/

Like all of the RounderLife articles about Postle, it focuses on inconsequential minutiae, obsessing over small details and avoiding discussing the main issues at hand. In this case, it laughably accuses Haley of altering the document herself (lol), and tries to make the case that roundermagpro@gmail.com "isn't an official Rounder Life" e-mail, so therefore it doesn't mean Postle is associated with them.

As if Postle would still be using that e-mail address in 2020 if he hasn't had anything to do with Rounder Life in over a decade. Puh-leeze.

The article also obsesses over the accusation that Postle cheated cancer patient Kevin Racks, attempting to prove otherwise, even though that's only a very small part of the wide body of accusations against Postle. Even if Postle had enough of a heart to spare Racks from his cheating, that doesn't make him innocent of cheating tons of others.

Then there's the final section of the article where he obsesses over Haley's accusation that Postle had one of his opponents re-swipe his cards because they weren't read correctly. Haley correctly made the point that Postle would have no way to know this unless he was able to see which cards were received by the control room. To refute this, Caldwell shows a video of a DIFFERENT hand, where the dealer tells a player to re-swipe, after receiving headset-communication to tell the player to do so.

Caldwell and his buddies seem intent upon making a lot of noise about super-minor details, hoping that the sum of all the noise will sow seeds of doubt in people's heads.

The question is... why? Everyone has made up their minds about Postle. That ship has sailed. He will never be seen as anything other than a cheater in the poker world, because the mountain of circumstantial evidence speaks for itself. Does Caldwell really think he will change minds? Or is this meant for others to find when googling Postle in the future, so he can point to that when employers or others find the many anti-Postle posts and articles, and perhaps he can claim that RounderLife investigated and exonerated him.

Caldwell's articles remind me of the cheating husband who, after being caught by his wife, tries to find the slightest holes in her accusations to "prove" his innocence. So if she points to 9 times where he was missing and she has reasonable evidence he was cheating, he points to one of those 9 times with proof he was getting a cavity filed at the dentist, but fails to address the other 8. Even if the many accusations against Postle are, say, 90% correct instead of 100% correct, that still means he's a cheater.

This whole Rounder Life sideshow to Postlegate is bizarre.

There is nothing wrong with a friend or business associate (or former business associate) of Postle sticking up for him. It's the effort to try and publish favorable statements about Postle under the guise that they are coming from some sort of impartial, neutral observer that is totally absurd.

As if Postle would opt to send his yet-to-be-public Court filing only to Rounder Life for publication on the internet while he is coincidently using a roundermagpro gmail account, which Postle then tries to cover up by correction to his actual Court filing, that is just LOL.

The only possible conclusion is that Caldwell is both old and stupid.

That's hilarious. I wonder what the chances are that this online "casting" session simply exists to give an old man jerk off material.

Maybe now we know how Postle "crushed it on UB" so hard in the 2000s.

    Hmmmmm

BTW, the UBT was the main reason Russ cheated, from what I was told. That was how the UBT was funded.
