Of course he does now, because he's heavily invested in it.

Here's a deal John. You free anyone sentenced of a marijuana related crime, and then you can profit off it. Fucking asshole.

Wake up Mumbles. Boehner hasn’t “seen the light”. He is a paid whore, only in it for the money. If he was still in office, he’d still be anti-cannabis.

Why? Here’s the dirty little secret. The federal government gets hundreds of millions, if not a billion, in extra tax dollars by keeping it illegal, because cannabis dispensaries can only write off costs of goods sold and no other expenses (like rent, wages, advertising).

Our dispensary paid well over 20% of our gross sales to the IRS. We paid no state income taxes, because we could write off normal, legitimate expenses. Trump’s corporate tax cut was definitely helpful though. MAGA! The feds are essentially running a protection racket. There are about 1500 legal dispensaries in the US. It’s always about the money.

gonna need an explanation of this...

why aren't you allowed to run this now legal business as a, ya know, business? what is their rationalization as to why you can't deduct normal business expenses on this stuff? it obviously still must make sense on the bottom line or you wouldn't be wasting your time, but that is really fucked...

im sure they don't want dispensaries popping up on every corner of the state so making some fucked up laws like this is a way to go about it...but if you want to contain supply you just make it like a casino where you have a specific number of licenses to give out and once they're gone that's it...

The federal government considers us herion dealers. They don’t let criminals write off their expenses other than the purchase price of the illegal product. Look at the IRS section 230E for more info, or the link below:

ill give it a read, but LOL...they're the ones legalizing this shit...holy fuck that's just total fucking AIDS...it's like half ass legalizing it...

guessing that means you can't depreciate capital investment as an expense either...

EDIT: guess it's not really half ass legalizing it since it's just a state-by-state thing and not on the federal level, so the feds are the ones fucking you in the ass even though the state says it's legal...do you at least get to deduct expenses on a state level?

Yet another reason to destroy the tax code in this country and go to the Fairtax.. Built in Consumption tax.. No more penalities from earning money and saving.. Even those who are engaged in illegal activites and folks paid under the table actrually pay taxes including.. even yes the illegal aliens out there nad yeah even the narco drug kingpins because they would be paying taxes on all that bling bling theyre buying and shit.. Theres been research for years and proving its revenue neutral as a whole and in fact might likely lead to increased tax receipts for the feds..
