It had been implied in the last few days(& speculated by the masses after the first fight) that Silva let Sonnen take him down in the first fight for the purpose of submitting him from the bottom.

After watching the first round of the rematch I am pretty comfortable saying this was 100% not true. It looks like Sonnen really could be Silva's kryptonite. I actually thought that was an illegal knee in real time but after seeing the replay might not have been. That basically ended the fight.

I thought it was overall a good card.

The knee was legit, Silva spending 3/4 of the duration of the 2nd round holding onto Sonnen's shorts wasnt.

Sonnen can definitely grind out decisions against Silva. He has the absolute best takedowns in the game. But ultimately Silva has gotten reallllll good at mitigating Sonnen's top position game and thats where the balances shift decisively in his favor.

Im all for Silva v Sonnen III. I assumed Sonnen gassed and fell over after that spinning elbow or whatever because he wasnt on roids this fight but I wonder if there was an adrenaline dump situation instead. I think the line the books had is accurate tho. Silva -230 or so seems to be exactly right against a game Sonnen.

I was hoping it was a better fight but oh well Silva just proves time and time again he's a freak of nature.

I'd love for a super fight as well but Silva is not gaining weight to fight Jones if you watched the press conference his reaction was clear on that and he don't want to cut it to fight GSP who said he'd consider gaining weight over a year ago but would do it in a slow natural manner that would be best for his body which would take several months. GSP has other fight commitments prior to entertaining the idea to weight gain to prepare for that fight if he chose to do it so I wouldn't expect this fight ever to happen.

because I am an old fucking man, and I cant understand why I have to download like 8 fucking files then put shit back together with some other program, then figure out WHICH fucking button is the download button because there is like a dozen fucking buttons that say DOWNLOAD, but when you click on them, 12 fucking pop ups come up, and some want you to sign up for shit, then you get a virus warning, then porn appears


I would rather just click a play button and watch the fight.


At this point, I have 3 fucking torrents going and one of them MIGHT be done by midnight. One has been going for an hour and is at 3%, one at 5% (both of these files is less than 2gb. The last torrent is 800mb and is almost at 30. I dont even know if I can play the formats they listed because I have never heard of them.

Make sure that you cap the upload so that your download speed is at its max. The key is looking at the amount of seeders/leechers. Seeders are the amount of people you can download from, and leechers are the amount of people that are downloading the file. ALWAYS pick the file with the most seeders.

well, I use demonoid a lot for music, and NEVER have these slow speeds. Im used to 1.5-2.0mB/sec types of speeds. For some reason, these fight torrents have TONS of seeders and leachers, but the speeds seem to suck for me. I have the settings set to the correct levels.

Sonnen apparently has said he doesnt want to use it as an excuse but that it was the deciding blow. His manager, against Sonnens will has filed for a hearing on it. They also want Silvas self greasing and constant short holding to be looked at as well, Sonnen isnt interested in any of this.

Sonnen was also the determining factor in the NSAC choosing not to fine or suspend Silva for the shoulder bump at the weigh ins. The NSAC asked Sonnen what he would like to see done and informed him that what he said would be weighted heavily. Sonnen said he definitely was not interested in seeing Silva suspended and at most maybe a small fine but he didnt really even want that. The NSAC has told Silva is another similar incident happens he will be banned for life from fighting under their commission.

I could care less, Sonnen said its a none issue to him as well. I do think it was a lot more than 99% torso, something put Sonnen on queer street in that sequence and it was most likely the knee. I do think Silvas a bit of a bitch for how he handled the questioning with the NSAC, the short holding, who fucking cares about, the pre fight self greasing is bullshit and hopefully he is told to stop.

I actually think Sonnen accounted for himself pretty damn well in both those fights. Silva is the greatest fighter the sport has seen, in his UFC career he has lost 6 rounds total, 5 of them have come against Sonnen. He was better than all talk no action, he was pure promotion, to the point of hilarity and made for Silvas only competitive UFC fights.

I hope Silva stays at 185 for a Hector Lombard (if he proves he belongs) and Munoz fight then makes the move up to 205, theres nothing left for him at 185 and there is no chance GSP wants any part of Anderson Silva so that super fight wont be happening.

Who will be next for Sonnen at 185? A lot of interesting match ups for him as well. Him and Wanderlei have exchanged a lot of words over the past couple of years, while this isnt a competitive fight IMO it would sell a ton of PPV's. I dont think the Munoz v Sonnen fight makes a lot of sense anymore, If Munoz gets past Weidman (huge if) he will be next in line for the title shot. If Hector Lombard has to wait him vs Sonnen is a good matchup as well. Sonnen has also expressed some interest in fighting some of the guys at 205. I know he took some shots at Forrest Griffin in the past, Forrest is a guy who would make a lot of the top 185lbers look good. Sonnen vs the math teacher Franklin is another interesting matchup
