Good luck and get well soon.
Good luck and get well soon.
DieTemplarDie coming soon!
no, seems like a good dude.
jasep, did the doctors say what they think caused it? was he a heavy drinker or on any benzos or anything?
Sorry to hear this. Take care of yourself Templar, and get well soon.
We dont need the rookie of the year out for any length of time!

You seem to be missing the point.
If he had a stroke severe enough to cause BLINDNESS, it more than likely affected a bit more than his eyesight. With the rapid fire tweeting it seems rather odd that he had a stroke bad enough to cause loss of sight, but nothing else.
Now we hear it was a "mild" stroke, do they normally cause someone to go fucking blind? Which is it?
Hope you recover soon. Always liked you as a poster.
Get well soon Temp.
We're all thinking about you.

Shitty deal, get better soon.
Hope the guy gets well but let's not forget that some of the nicest, coolest guys on NWP ended up being scammers, so let's all beware. Not saying Templar is one but I don't think he's been around very long and nobody really knows him so let's not jump on everyone who has suspicion. Suspicion is good.
Hope for a speedy recovery for you kid. Make sure you convince the doc to hook up the percs/vikes.

First off I want to say that I really am not mad at ShadyJ for making a post like this. He really is a good guy, and before tuesday I spoke to him a lot. Almost as much as member hers like JAsep, Chinaman, and JH. He contracted some work for me to do in helping build his reume, and it may have been a little odd for me to not have been reachable vis any internet sourse like skype, pfa, of facebook for any amount of time for more than 24 hours. The price for helping him out was $20, and I respectly sent that back to him asap.
I dont want any hate to go towards him whatsoever, as he probably would have done what any of you have done. Like I said he is a really good guy from what I know of him, and I dont want him to go anywhere.
ok now on to the good stuff.
For the past 6 months or so I have been having some really bad, mirgrane headaches. Please bare with me for the spelling, but I am so high right now off of drugs, I am lucky I can put together a sentence at all.
Well right now I do not have good insurance so I have been receiving some really shitty treatment for headaches. Basically feeding myself with pain killers, and sleeping meds. If any of you have had migranes before, you know your only priority is to fall asleep.
Well Tuesday I attended a grad party for one of my sons, and then brought the family up to watch my youngest brothers baseball game. As most of you know I was at one time a really good player, so I jumped at the chance to coach 3rd base for his team, when the manager couldn't make it.
During the top of the 3rd inning, my brother was at bat, and I took a glance at the scoreboard to see what the count was. When I looked over at the scoreboard, I realized I couldn't see it at all. It all just looked like a big blob of lights. I wiped the sweat off my forehead and looked again, and well nothing changed. It was really hott, outside, and im not in any form of physical shape, so i thought that maybe I was just dehydrated. After that inning I sat down on the bench and totally fucking melted. I felt pain behind my eyes, and I couldn't breath. At this time I was very aware of my surroundings but I couldnt move. I could hear people speaking with me, but I couldnt talk at all. 5 of so minutes later, my god mother was in the dugout, and next thing I knew I was being rushed to the hospital. I just remember, that I couldn't stop drooling. Like i said before at this time, I knew what was going around me, but I just couldnt communicate at all.
When I got to the hospital, I realized I couldn't see at all out of my left eye. It was like somebody painted a dark purple color over my eye.
As soon as I got escorted in on the stretcher, I was sent right into the emergency room. I was communicating with the doctors by basically humming yes or no.
They asked questions like was I in pain, can I see, can I breathe etc...It was pretty aware to them that I had a stroke. From the minute I got in there they set up a machine that basically gives what they call a clot buster. It administered with 4 hours or so of having a stroke, they can bust up any clots that I may have in my system. This is the last thing I remember that night.
When I woke up Wed morning in intensive care, I had a team of doctors around me. I guess I spent all night having more than a dozen or so tests done. I had a couple Mri's. a couple cat scans, both with and without the die, and a few others. It was actually pretty scary when I woke up because I was shackled down to the bed. I had hoses coming from every with angel, and hole in my body.
From what I was told then, that I indeed had a pretty severe stroke. I had a number or old blot clots in my chest, as well as 2 news ones at the bottom of my brain. These two at the botton of my brain were in fact affecting my ability of sight. These two were almost completely removed, but I still have lost about 75% of sight in my left eye. My right eye is still a tiny bit blurry, but this should go back to normal within a couple days.
Throughout Wed and Thursday I went under for more test almost hourly. The worst of course was the Spinal Tap. The pain wasn't really bad, but just the thought of having such a big needle inside you really freaks you out. One good thing that came out of this already, is that I do not have MS.
So I got out of the hospital today, with a boat load of medications. The left side of my face does have some paralysis to it. This I was told will go away with within a week or two. My vision I was told should go back to normal within a month to two months as long as the blood thinners do their job.
The real shitty thing is I am far from being off the hook. I was sent home with a list of tests that I have to do on myself about every two hours. I also now have to sleep hooked up to a machine that records, my heartrate, breathes per minute, breathing rate%, and a few others. It feels like I should still be in the hospital, but do to a lack of insurance, and the fact that I do have young kids at home, they gave me the option of staying in the hospital, or doing these regular tests at home.
I have to go back on monday to the clinic at Albany Medical Center, for more tests. Needless to say this experience really opened my eyes to take better care of myself. I must have heard a half a dozen times from different doctors, that I am a 29 year old living in a 70 year olds body. Fucking brutal, but it is what it is.
Lastly I just want to say again, that I am not mad at ShadyJ for making the posts. I am new on here, so people dont know me from anyone else on here. People know that I have a checkered past, and I am very open about that. There was a time in my life where I didnt give a fuck about anybody, and I was in a really dark place. That time is really far behind me, yet I dont hold a grudge against someone for holding that against me.
Im fucking exhausted guys, sitting here in my chair with my balls in the air conditioning.
As far as me holding any money for the PFA league, all money has been sent over to Druff, with the exception on the Money that HockeyGuy has sent to me via Xash in Envelope that had arrived on tuesday. I will simply have my girl load that on to my paypal or hers tomorrow or Sunday and forward that onto Druff. The total of that Money is $125..
