You don't have an SSL cert on your server. That is YOUR choice of configuration and nothing to do with how vBulletin works.

Blame the vendor? Are you a trumpster?
That's coming soon. It's a pain in the ass, but I'll do it because it's becoming the new standard.

To be honest, on a small site like this, SSL isn't very important. Any attack here isn't likely to take place involving an intercept of data between the user and the server.

When this site went up in 2012, SSL was very uncommon on small-to-medium-sized internet forums.

Bullshit. It's not new at all. It takes 5 minutes to do and it benefits the user primarily. A side benefit for you is your SEO ranking will go up. Call Barron for advise.

No surprise you didn't comment on your incorrect blast of the vendor.

I thought you were referring to configuring something within vBulletin, not SSL.

You'll also notice that, seconds after responding to you, I made a second post stating I would be implementing SSL soon.

It doesn't take 5 minutes to do. This version of vBulletin wasn't really built for SSL (partially due to images being displayed from third party sites), and there's all kinds of complications which can arise, which involve work to prevent.

You and others have been a complete dick to me, so I think it's only appropriate that I return the favor.

And your threats of "permaban" are just further evidence of selective retribution. You warn me after one post threatening the swiss cheese security of this site, while you allow others to continually post garbage about their cons out of foreign countries.

You can only ban my IP anyway. You would much rather have me here in the clear and know where I am than have me return as a phantom with much more spite in my blood.
    I beg to differ.

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

Other than this, Gringo Star was a decent poster. I hope you'll find a way to let him back on.

I recently fell into the router hole and was a bit surprised as to how much our computers are more or less waving flags. Specialists/hackers have shown they can infiltrate almost anywhere.
I don't know where you fit in with such knowledge Druff but are you confident when you say a suspect member is legit based on their connection?

“I believe the simplest explanation is, there is no God. No one created the universe and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization that there probably is no heaven and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe and for that, I am extremely grateful.”
