Caesars properties are highly confusing with their policies, and their Total Rewards program is even more confusing.

One of the points of major confusion comes from redemption of Rewards Credits (RCs) at restaurants.

Do all Caesars restaurants take RCs? Most do, but some don't.

What is the exchange rate? Most of the time it's 100 RCs per $1 (meaning each RC is worth a penny), but sometimes it's 150 or 200 per dollar (meaning you're paying as much as double!)

So how can you tell which is which?

Well, you can ask the restaurant, but sometimes that results in disaster when the employees don't know and don't want to figure it out.

Fortunately, there is this handy (but oddly never-publicized) tool to figure out which restaurants take RCs, and which give you a lousy 150:1 or 200:1 exchange rate:

This can be used for more than restaurants, too. But if you just want restaurants, select "Dining" from the OUTLET TYPE dropdown. Then select your region from the REGION dropdown. From there, you can select the specific hotel, or just let them list every restaurant in that market.

Anything that has a check mark under the "Quick Rewards" column takes RCs.

Anything with two asterisks next to the restaurant name (**) exchanges your RCs at 200:1 instead of 100:1 (which is a bad thing, and you're probably better off paying cash).

Anything with three asterisks next to the restaurant name (***) exchanges your RCs at 150:1 instead of 100:1, which is also bad.

Everything with either one asterisk or no asterisks exchanges your RCs at 100:1, which is standard (and what you want).

This is an official Caesars website, so you can demand them to honor whatever it says if you somehow get the wrong info.

Enjoy!
