When I was 11 years old and starting 6th grade, there was a kid in my class who was 6 feet tall.
Other kids even made fun of him, calling him a "big dope" (even though he was actually very smart). He was a gentle guy, so he didn't beat anyone's ass for saying this, though he easily could have.
I was sure he was going to end up like 7 feet tall.
Well, when high school was over, he and I were the same height. He had nearly a foot on me when I met him at age 11.
