WP Obama. Keeping someone who exposed war crimes from within should be honoured, not jailed.

Disagree on Snowden. Him next plz.

As for Assange, no necessary action needed. Trump will hire him in some special advisory role before the month is out.

Snowden's never, ever catching a pardon.

You may well be right about Trump & Assange, given how well it would work out for Russia.

Assange vowed that he would agree to be extradited to the U.S. if Manning was pardoned. While Manning only had his sentence commuted, id say close enough. Let’s see if Assange actually follows through...

Yes, Snowden has never been arraigned in a court, and therefore cannot be pardoned.

    HOWEVER

the DOJ could drop the charges, which would essentially be the same thing. Sure, the new DOJ can maybe refile the charges as it wouldn't count as double jeopardy, as he's never been to trial on this matter and been found innocent.

    So yeah....

actually the tweet from wikileaks says that assange will agree to be extradited if manning is given "clemency" (i.e. mercy), which should include commutation of manning's sentence.

assange is going to look like a massive douchebag if he backs out of this now

realtalk though, trump loves assange so there won't be any prosecution and assange will end up as trump's press secretary.

That's a bunch of bullshit.. Gerald Ford Pardoned Richard M Nixon for his part in Watergate due to him potentially facing Obstruction of Justice charges after he resigned.
