The basics: Adam Harvey of Berlin is attempting to create clothing which confuses casino facial recognition software. The idea is to create patterns on the clothing which are also confused as faces, so the software gets overwhelmed and can't figure out where the faces begin and the clothing ends. Because it's a computer doing the work and not a human, the computer does not have the ability to reason out that it's being tricked. Casino facial recognition is used in order to identify advantage players -- especially ones already banned from that casino or from other casinos in the area.
