Closest thing to play money tourney at a casino you'll ever see

Most casinos offer smaller buy in daily tourneys. Here in metro Phx the most popular is the daily at TSR in Scottsdale. When i first played it was weird $80 plus vig and then more add on rebuy stuff. They've changed it to $125 straight up. Another here offers a $30 daily. But never really did a ton of research as I figured nearly all the action locally was at TSR. There is a casino here known as ft McDowell it is the oldest in the area. They have a Tourney that i thought you'd only ever see online. Twice on Saturdays (12p/4p) and three evenings a week they have what is basically the ultimately donkfest $5BI $5Rebuy. I've not played it personally but I know a couple who have and they say it's literally like playing a micro online donkey fest people call down light to the point of seeing first and second hand instashoves with any face card in their hand. Sounds juicy but also sounds like it has the ability to monkey tilt any reasonable player as well because of the likelyhood of one out suck outs happening more often with people just playing all like maniacs.

My local card room used to have a $5 rebuy tourney on Fridays at noon. You got $20 in comp chips just for playing, so I would go all in on every hand. I just wanted to bust out and get into a cash game. One time I made it well over an hour before someone finally had enough chips to felt me. It drove the other players crazy. They complained to the director that I was ruining their little $5 buy-in event!
