to be clear, hashish arrests brought more severe penalties than marijuana possession/distribution charges for a long time, the laws pertaining to each were different iirc. so im curious if this weird quasi-legality extends to actual hashish.

considering shit like shatter is exponentially more powerful than hashish, i would expect it would be, but given that the traditional manufacture of hashish involved like, fucking kerosene and god knows what else, im hedging my bets hope-wise.

dont know the law but i think that in michigan they stopped selling BHO and even edibles, i never saw hash there either though.

This thread gave me a hankering for some hash.... going to Washington this weekend and will stop by one of the many many weed shops and see what they offer. will report back with findings.

I have tried some of that "keefhash" and thought it tasted ok but not a great buzz, I think it had a lot of leaf resin in it though. you want to smoke some good hash you have to go to Montreal they hog all the good stuff. yuup they do! like black silly putty.

Hash is still sold, but has been overtaken, at least in California, by the concentrates (wax, shatter, crumble). Back in the day there were only 3 true hash making areas: Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Morroco. Hash dominated the European market (such as the Dutch coffee shop scene), because it was much easier to smuggle. Then in the 90s, Amsterdam started growing the greatest indoor strains of all time (such as Super Silver Haze and Northern Lights), and hash became less dominant. You can still find good, authentic 'Moroc' in Europe, but I have not seen any in the states for a long time.

Thank you for excellent responses, I think Jayjami's comment about how concentrates are 'in' and true 'Moroccan' style hash being something of a unicorn at this point rings truest.

I'll reach out to some local dispensaries but we all know that no matter how hard I try to explain my question, some mouthy cunt with gauge earrings and pierced cheekbones is going to insist that keef is 'true' hash etc etc.

I believe they used to and may still base some of the sentences for drugs based on weight. I heard recently that acid dealers, despite handling the lightest product had the paper sheets it was placed on weighed.

A good pairing with blond Lebanese hash is blond Lebanese gash, but both are rare these days
