I have been on holiday for the past 72 hours at the Palazzo. I came by myself. I enjoy the solitude and doing things such as this from time to time. It was a profitable trip, had excellent food (best seafood in Vegas, Aquanox at the Palazzo), a gorgeous comfy room with a terrece literally 20 feet away from the pool, and all staff showed considerable competency and hospitality throughout.
Cmoney is sending his Jet on Friday to take us on a 48 hour bender to Reno. Upon return all my focus will be on the WSOP.
A couple of thoughts...
Got caught up on the forum drama from 3am to 4am this morning while eating two poached eggs, break potatoes, Apple chicken sausage, and fresh berries.
1) Long time Lurker, if you think Kathy loves you and you feel the same, I say go for it. You only live once and you do not want to spend the rest of your life feeling regret. Am I correct in reading that you just randomly ran in to her at an art gallery with no prior knowledge she owned it? Like the entire world and you run into your best friend/soulmate from yesteryear? That's got to mean something. That's just insane.
2) Sparten, I tried for a bit, but I literally can't make fucking sense of anything you write. I read it and read it and still nothing.
3) Mumbles, I put my support behind you and you've let me down. I think you're a good dude. I sense you're a hard worker and honest and all that but Jesus man, quit posting in every fucking thread. Whether it a post about organic chicken or chechen rebels, you're in by post number 3 every fucking time. An informal poll done via whatsapp (22 pfa members with whatsapp accounts) showed your approval rating was 13%. Amongst pfa users in that key demographic of 38-64 years old, it was even lower coming in around 3.3%. I respect your passion for pfa but slow the fuck down.
4) I must admit the forum seems a little dull as of late with out Searles. What's the public sentiment? I get why he left (for those that speculated, he did indeed bow out because he felt genuine remorse about the Deleware remarks) but I predict he will return. No one can deny, Tyde after a decade plus still brings in the hits. He is an artist. The keyboard is his paint brush and EPIC threads are his master pieces. Regardless what anyone thinks, I am glad to have made peace with him after a bad run earlier in the decade.
5) speaking of which, it's been ten years since his mostly on again, rarely off again feud with Druff began. Can you see them both in there 60's and 70's still going at it? Interesting question, what are some guesses in terms of years left before this community totally dissolves? Druff stated on radio a few weeks back that he has left special instructions with the family attorney to make sure I inherit pfa if God forbid Druff goes down for the count or is incapacitated. Privately, we have discussed a succession plan where if Druff (like a president) has a colonoscopy, operation or any other situation in which he can't monitor pfa, that I will have to step in.
6) Sanlmar was on radio a few weeks or maybe months ago. I don't think I ever publicly stated how much I liked our debating subjects on air. The dude has become a top notch poster with articulate posts on subjects he is knowledgable about or can relate to (take notice mumbles).
7) I was told my someone who I believe is a trusted source that Weiss (justified homicide) got the funding from a group of wealthy investors to take a controlling interest of a major Viatameese pho chain (won't say name out of respect for Weiss, but they just opened there first San Franciso location) and truly is worth over 8 figures.
8) Not getting involved in that Searless gate scandal but whether you agree or disagree, I don't think anyone can contest that Druff was generally hurt by Searless gate. Druff is my friend and I don't like to see any of my friends upset. I agree with Handicapme, that Druff (as well as me to a lesser degree) have put ourselves out there and the same rules such as the hut master (who I have known online for years, never communicated with much but never had any beefs whatsoever), and any other poster shouldn't have to post there pictures of any public info and still be able to speak there mind. I also agree with Druff that he is owner, he spends a lot of time devoted to giving all of us this outlet and he shouldn't be subjected to malicious harm just for the sake of maliciously harming him. I've always found hutmaster to be a non malicious, easy going, non troll guy and I personally didn't think he said what he said to maliciously hurt Druff. Regardless, Druff was hurt and as his friend, seeing him get angry and stressed about the Internet sucks.
9) I am bald. I shave my head. Can grow hair but definitely have male pattern baldness. Not like Eric Seidel bad but still. It started when I was in my late 20's. I just said fuck it in 2004 and just started shaving my entire head. I don't give a fuck no have any insecurities about it. I always have hated all body hair. I feel and look better with my head shaved. It has never even remotely impeded me from dating, courting, and fornicating with attractive females. People on here have bashed my looks for years and I never have given one fuck because I have absolutely been blessed with the degree of attractiveness of my past partners. Truthfully, it wasn't my looks. It wasn't money. I've been busto and back many times in my life. It wasn't until 4 years or so ago that I finally became finically secure, laid the groundwork to not have to worry about my old age and to close all my leaks I had. Not chasing losses and coming to terms with accepting 4 and 5 figure defeats and applying the discipline was the major turning point.
10) Bellybuster mosaic was absolutely brilliant. Seen a lot of creative things over the years and that may take the cake. The dude also runs a poker room, posts results, some point system, and is loyal to the queen of England.
11) funny enough, what began as a mistake has started to develop a cult following. I have received a tremendous response to the 1 chip forever ante tourney from this past Wednesday. It actually encourages players to deviate from the accustomed way of playing non flop games. Crowe Didly was kind enough to pm me the first few pages of proper game theory while playing a FAT (fixed ante tournament) and my boy Bobby at the Orleans will next be testing a 5 ante FAT at the Sunday horse tourney.
12) shout out to poster and long time friend Dagreek23 for hitting a 100k scratch off lottery ticket outside Bethlehem.
13) the person who keeps texting my radio number claiming to be Menachum and asking me to buy him beer, cocaine and condoms, it's not funny anymore and please stop harassing me.
14) after the leg amputation, hope long time radio listener Scott from the east coast is recovering comfortably. I give him props for not ever exhibiting a defeatist attitude. The dude (and he said I could post this) literally has a prosthetic leg that is wooden due to have an allergic reaction to the prior metal one. I honestly don't know if I have ever seen anyone with a wooden prosthetic leg before. Serious question, since he stated it was made out of high quality lumber, is it possible termites could invade it? Would you have Orkin tent the leg? Crazy.
15) those that I have met before or can prove to me that they are not sociopaths, we should start taking about a summer pfa meet up during the wsop when the highest number of members are in Vegas.
