That's gonna fuck the balance towards the liberal side now because Obama will replace Scalia a Constitutionalist with some liberal dick who thinks its toilet paper to wipe their ass with.
Hmmmm 11 months of Republican obstructionism will be on full display for all the voters to see. I'm glad that citizens united bullshit has backfired, for now... Lol @ all the Republican candidates openly selling out to Sheldon and the sleazy Koch bros, wtf.
meanwhile Obama is back in his office breaking out the bottle of champagne
We fucked.
In before Obama chooses a centerist and still gets raked over the coals by a political party too dumb to compete with the center.

Also, this may speed up Ginsberg's retirement.
Obama is going to appoint someone for sure (he doesn't want to take a chance that Hillary could lose). Once a Democrat is appointed in Scalia's place, all they have to do is replace Ginsberg before the next President takes office (unless they are sure Hillary will win -- which right now is far from a certainty), and they have a guaranteed 5-4 majority for awhile.
(* the above is dedicated to Elena Kagan, who is a lesbian but in the closet for whatever reason)
In before Obama appoints another far left socialist, who the liberals claim is a "centrist" and everyone just can't see because they are a "far right wing nut jobs"

there is no way the republican senate confirms the next justice before the election.
also this has huge potential to singlehandedly give the next election to the democrats. instead of a fringe issue, abortion rights will suddenly be a key issue. democrats will argue (fairly) that if a republican gets elected, roe v. wade could easily be overturned. this will be huge in swing states, where more people are pro choice than pro life.
this makes me wonder if obama will even try to appoint a justice before the next election.
Republicans need to stand down and accept their inevitable future! They need to work on making a smooth transition from major political party to radical fringe group without fucking up a bunch of shit in the process. Approving a left leaning SC nominee will be a good start.
Scalia was responsible for 2nd amendment rights for people to own guns

whomever is writing the plot for this soon-to-be-made movie, is doing a fine fine job
rofl the republicans are completely fucked here. their base would kill them if they roll over and let obama appoint a justice (mitch mcconnell is already saying that the next president should do that).
but their candidates' views on abortion absolutely prevent them from winning any swing states. for god's sake rubio and cruz don't even think that abortion should be permitted in cases of rape or incest. how the fuck are moderates going to vote for these guys? it's crazy but this really might have just decided the election
THE GOP IS SO OUT OF TOUCH; THEY WILL BE ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT IN 15-20 YEARS
TAKE THAT TO THE BANK
IF I COULD INVEST MY NET WORTH IN DEMOCRATIC PARTY FUTURES I WOULD SNAP IT OFF
