Meet Mark Georgantas.
He claims to be a gambling expert.
He says he can beat baccarat.
He says he can beat blackjack.
He says he can beat craps.
He says he can beat roulette!
He actually can't beat any of these games. However, he convinced idiots that he could, and that his magical abilities to win every single session at -EV casino games would soon make him a worldwide sensation. Despite his claimed ability to win at will, Georgantas solicited people to invest large sums of money into his "businesses" of both gambling and selling gambling systems, and of course he just ran off with it.

Laughably, his Linkedin profile indicates that he was once involved with "Fire On Ice, Inc", despite the fact that he was convicted in 2006 for stealing credit cards and using them to fund that business!
There is even an odd media story from the past, claiming Georgantas escaped prison once through a storm drain, similar to the ending of "The Shawshank Redemption".
According to the LVRJ article, Evan Rodich gave $55,000 to Georgantas, and Marcelo Caraveo gave $300,000. Both signed elaborate contracts, and were promised wild returns on their money.
He claimed that his company "Monster Gaming Products LLC" would earn a $4 billion return on a $250,000 investment -- simply by selling videos of his winning "system".
He also claimed that he could earn $400 million by starring in a reality TV show and movie about his life. The company managing that was "Monster Intellecutal Holdings, LLC", and required a scant $50,000 investment to make such money!
