I sort-of won a $5000 prize from Albertson's supermarket

Albertson's has one of those monopoly-style "collect pieces" games that McDonald's also runs.

Played it last year and it was a complete waste of time. Didn't even win $2.

I only bother with this because I have a list of rare game pieces and don't have to collect anything.

Anyway, after a summer full of fail with this game, I found a piece today that is either "rare" or "semi-rare" for a $5000 ATV/Camping prize. You need 5 pieces. Three are common, one is rare, one is semi-rare. It is thought that my piece (SC32) is the rare one, but it isn't confirmed. I need SC34, which is the other rare/semi-rare one.

If anyone can help where to find this, let me know. I have already posted on a few relevant forums about it.

Will either sell this piece or buy the other one, but I need to find someone with SC34 so I can make this transaction.

I finally was able to shake my hangover a couple of hours ago and am enjoying a delicious glass of Chateau St Michelle chardonnay. We got after it last night so tonight we're taking it easy.

I am having a hard time finding the person with the other rare (most likely the "semi-rare") game piece.

If I can't find someone with that (who lives in CA or NV), this is going to end up worthless.

I have about 45 days to get this done.

It is so stupid to have TWO rare game pieces for the same prize, even if one of them is only semi-rare (which is defined as 1 out of 5000 pieces, from what I hear).

This makes it very difficult for ANYONE to win those prizes, without going to the internet and trading.

Strangely enough, the million dollar prize has only one rare game piece, but several of the other medium prizes (like this one) have two.

Mike, you sound bitter about this.

It's not like I won the lottery. This is a 5k prize, of which I will lose some money by selling, and I will lose even more money by buying the other rare ticket. And it's some effort to even find someone with the other ticket.

And it would be nice for me to get this, given the poor WSOP I've had so far.

Druff the game pieces seem to go by region,I have a bunch of game pieces from albertsons ,But for the same 5k atv/camping trip here where im at the numers are MW32 MW33 MW34 MW35 MW36 so not sure you can use any outside your region ?

Yeah these games are usually regional, so be careful what you buy. My uncle was playing that PEPSI game under the bottlecaps back in the day and a new kid moved into the neighborhood and sold him the elusive "E". Turns out it was an invalid as it was from a different region
