Strange Pictures from 1972 Rothschild Ball -- Eyes Wide Shut -- Satanic?

“… On 12 December 1972, Marie-Hélène gave her Surrealist Ball at Ferriéres. This time the guests were asked to come in black tie and long dresses with Surrealist heads. The invitation was printed with reversed writing on a blue and cloudy sky, inspired by a painting by Magritte. To decipher the card, it had to be held to a mirror.”

For the evening the chateau was floodlit with moving orange lights to give the impression that it was on fire. The staircase inside was lined by footmen dressed as cats that appeared to have fallen asleep in a variety of staged poses.

Guests had to pass throught a kind of labyrinth of Hell, made of black ribbons to look like cobwebs. The occasional cat appeared to rescue the guests and lead them to the tapestry salon. Here they were greeted by Guy with a hat to resemble a still-life on a platter, and by Marie-Hélène wearing the head of a giant weeping tears made of diamonds.

this was a surrealist-themed party - that is all it was; there's no "conspiracy" to be seen here... merely eccentric and imaginative people with STATURE. I believe Dalí was one of the invited guests

If y'all remember my pain-pill-addled midlife-crisis stories from about 5 years ago, the 6ft nympho I was banging actually attended a few of these parties in Vegas. Apparently they are some sick twisted affairs, with lots of very wealthy men, hot as hell women, and some of the shit the guys are into is really fucked up. Some of them wanted to essentially be fucked with objects or animals even, and a few of the guys wanted to get blood and sacrificial stuff going.

when you have ridiculous money, simple hookers dont really give you a boner.

This was not some tacky "vegas party", it was hosted at the Chateau de Ferrieres, idiot.

I was referring to an EYES WIDE SHUT party, you knob.

Held at some random massive mansion, where everyone wore costumes/masks, and the point was to give people a sense of what goes on.
